Ambience really good, very calming and nice. The room is spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax. Iron was provided and everything was well-prepared. Location is convenient too, walking distance to Mahkota Parade (just cross the road) and Dataran Pahlawan with a connecting bridge at Level 3.
Parking per day after validate is RM5, but if have event can validate for RM3.
*Dont have the pic of the room, but here’s is the holding room if you ever want to hold an event at Hatten Hotel.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The ambience was nice, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Love the welcome drink!
Just a small feedback for improvement: the coffee machine, cup area was a bit dusty, and we weren’t know that items like toothbrush and shower cap were provided and placed inside the drawer. We only found out after going out to purchase them from nearby shops. It might help to make this more visible or inform guests during check-in.
On a positive note, we were told by staff that there’s a new parking space beside the hotel, which is much more convenient and safe compared to the previous one behind the hotel that felt quite dark and unsafe. The buggy service was also provided from hotel to parking and vice versa. Fast and efficient, which we really appreciated that we no need to walk, especially during heavy rain and night time. We also liked that they sell fizzy bath bombs, a nice touch for a relaxing stay.
Overall, still a great experience. Thank you!
The hotel has a pool, which the kids absolutely loved. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining and massage options. Free parking is a huge plus for self-drivers! Plus, there's a fantastic fish ball shop, Guilinggao (herbal jelly), and durian shop nearby!

I booked 2 rooms signature king. It was then upgraded to 2 bedroom suites. This is like apartment style room.. Master bedroom has en suite bathroom with bath tub. The second bathroom is outside, next to 2nd bedroom. Both bedroom relatively small. Living hall equiped with TV, sofa and has dining table as well. There is small kitchen with mini stove and kitchenette. Unfortunately we was assigned a room with faulty aircond in the living hall, however the team work very efficiency to organised maintenance team to fixed it and when it was failed, we was assigned to a new room immediately. The breakfast spread is good. My daughter loves the kids playgrounds and kids club.
The duvet had some yellowish stains. As for the shower head, there were some water stains that weren't cleaned off properly. The facilities, like the swimming pool, were actually very small and shallow. They call it a 'recreation center,' but it's really just the size of a small restroom.
(However, for the price of 100, it's not bad at all. I personally think it offers great value for money.)
The hotel very convenient for walk to Josker street, the nearby have a lot delicious food for restaurants and coffee shop . And the breakfast also good food. The hotel inside have a lot antique Nyonya and baba culture thing .

Stayed here and overall it was a mixed experience. The hotel is old, but I have to give credit to the housekeeping team as the cleanliness is well maintained throughout the stay.
The location is not the most strategic, but still manageable. It is within walking distance to Jonker Street and several tourist attractions like A Famosa, Stadthuys, Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum, and the Melaka Ship Museum, which is quite convenient for sightseeing.
However, there were a few downsides. We booked a king size bed but ended up with two single beds combined. Unfortunately, one of the beds had a faulty spring, which caused some discomfort during sleep.
In terms of pricing, it feels slightly on the higher side considering the condition of the hotel and the issues experienced.
Overall, acceptable for a short stay, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially in room quality and value for money.

Staying at Holiday Inn Malacca's sea-view room and falling asleep to the sight of the Malacca Strait was my biggest wish for this trip, and I'm so grateful I finally got to experience my dream Malacca! Malacca's old town is quite small, and every day we took taxis to get around the same few streets. We also visited Ole-Ole Malacca, which is close to the hotel, and the market in front of Dataran Pahlawan. Every day we'd wake up naturally, enjoy the hotel breakfast, and then head out to explore. We tried coconut durian chicken rice and Nyonya cuisine. If we bought something in between, we'd just take a taxi back to the hotel to drop it off before going out again – it was simply delightful! The hotel is actually very close to the Straits Mosque; you can see it from the room, and it's just a ten-minute taxi ride away. The Red Square and Jonker Street are also within walking distance, but it's definitely more convenient to take a taxi if you're with elderly people or children!
We specifically chose to spend Chinese New Year's Eve with my parents in Malacca, and it truly was an unforgettable New Year! The Year of the Horse in Malacca – what an incredible serendipity! We watched the fireworks in Malacca on New Year's Eve, and on New Year's Day, we saw the hotel's high-pole lion dance. We even received a red envelope (lai see) and good wishes for prosperity from the hotel. Thank you, I've kept them as treasures! Malacca is indeed small, but I genuinely felt so much joy here! I will miss you, and thank you, Holiday Inn Malacca, for giving my parents and me such an unforgettable and joyful New Year.

CcargirlThe room was spacious and right by the Malacca River – opening the window to that view, wow, it was incredible! We could even dine on the balcony, which was so relaxing. The service was excellent; we received a welcome gift with ice balls and fruit upon check-in. It's also super close to all the Malacca attractions. The only thing was that the hotel staff only spoke English, so I had to stumble through my words. Luckily, my private driver and photographer helped me out. I really need to work on my English for next time, haha! We took some beautiful Nyonya costume photos here!
