Aishah AbidinReturned to this hotel after 10 years. Many changes, especially the pool. We stayed in a deluxe room. The room was quite spacious and clean, though the lighting was a bit dim. The water pressure was strong, which made for a pleasant shower. The mattress and pillows were just average. Breakfast was also just average with limited choices. The bellboy was excellent; he helped us carry all our luggage without complaint, even using the stairs since there's no elevator to my room's building. It was fine though. We'll definitely be back because the kids loved the pool.

The hotel is definitely the best in Cameron. You need to spend time staying in the room and relax, staff are welcoming and they remember your room while servicing you. Something added to my exp is that, they even gav my friend the surprise birthday wishes during breakfast time( we had birthday celebration dinner a day before this, the staff ask when’s the actual date and he remember it and giv a surprise when my friend ordered the pancake) added a candle and wishes on the plate. Impressive service.
But the hotel should really upgrade their TV/in room entertainment, kinda boring if you solely rely on the tv show.

Anonymous UserStay 3 days 2 nights think of try out different room type.
The location is excellent, and very near to the turtle released program distance within 10mins.
Room access to sea side and pool are execellent.
Initially, the cleanliness was worrying as the resort unit looks quite old. Other than the water leaking in toilet, the checked in was slow ( as it delayed 1 hour plus) , the bedsheet with stains and the lighting quite dimmed.
However, the manager Marcus took initiative to check us out , take out feedback and his immediate action warm us . Immediate change the new bedsheet, repair works and cleaning 1 more time for the room.
Upgraded our next day room to same villa in order to keep us comfy and provide us room service for breakfast which much appreciated.
The 1st day breakfast was great. With all local variety and taste good.
The coffee inside door and restaurant both nice.
We enjoyed our time in villa lot.
Definitely suitable for couple or family to relax or short getaway.
Will consider visit again.

SgsamHad an enjoyable stay at 1001 Hotel overall. One of the biggest highlights is its location. It’s situated away from the busy casino crowds, making it a peaceful retreat while still offering easy access to the attractions. The view is absolutely stunning—waking up to a sea of clouds was truly unforgettable and one of the best parts of the stay.
That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The check-in process was slower than expected (only one staff) and the front desk staff could communicate more clearly and proactively with guests. Better coordination and customer service during check-in would create a much better first impression.
Another downside is the limited food options within or near the hotel. While this may not be an issue for short stays, having more dining choices would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet place to relax with spectacular mountain and cloud views, 1001 is a great choice. With improvements to the check-in experience and more food options, it would be an even better destination.

We had a lovely family staycation at Colmar Tropicale and really enjoyed our time there. The surroundings were beautiful and made for a relaxing getaway. A heartfelt thank you to the team for upgrading our room and surprising my husband with a complimentary birthday dessert. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made his birthday extra special, and we truly appreciated it. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Every staff member we met was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only area that could use some improvement is the bathroom cleanliness, as it wasn't quite up to the standard we expected. Other than that, we had a great stay and created wonderful memories with our family. We'd definitely consider coming back again.

Anonymous UserCheck-in was smooth, and we even got a room upgrade, which made for a very pleasant stay. The kids absolutely loved the pool. With Starbucks, McDonald's, KFC, and FamilyMart all close by, it's perfect for a bit of luxury on a budget trip. Plus, being just a 15-minute drive from beachfront restaurants and a batik factory meant there was plenty to enjoy beyond the beach.

This was my first time vacationing here, and overall I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff were very polite, warm, and sincere, providing attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay. The unique beachfront scenery is even more stunning than in the photos.
The food was above average, and we ended up having all our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—at the hotel during our stay. We also tried the massage therapy, and I have to say the environment was absolutely amazing—listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying professional massage techniques was a five-star experience.
We also went on a Jungle Trial. There are a few spots where clearer directional signage could be added.
As a small suggestion for the hotel, you might consider setting up a small shop selling souvenirs, postcards and snacks. Guests can truly relax and spend a leisurely time within the hotel without needing to go anywhere.
I would definitely come back again.

Spacious and clean, equipped with a TV, air conditioning, fridge, iron, and hairdryer. The 44th floor boasts a beautiful rooftop with a pool, sauna, and glass room, all available for free use. The staff provided excellent service, responding and bringing supplies even in the early hours of the morning. However, the WiFi was very poor and almost unusable. No disposable toiletries like toothbrushes, slippers, or bottled water were provided. The location is a bit far from the cable car station (RM15-17 by Grab) and even further from the mountain top (RM25+ by Grab).

Janelee520Overall it it very good to stay Berjaya Tioman Resort.
We got free transfer from jetty to resort.
All the stuff are friendly.
Only the pool's towel is not enough to be used when we need more. Told by the stuff that they haven't received from their laundry department on the morning. Was wondering this was not coordinate well for such a high standard resort? Management have to look into it to avoid any disappointment from other visitors.

Anonymous UserService was exceptional. The concierge, front office, housekeeping and f&b personnel were absolutely great! They were attentive and had great mannerisms! The hotel was also located within lush greenery which is really calming and serene.
But I would have reservations for the interiors. It is a very very dated hotel as it felt like the interior is still stuck in the 1980-1990s. Only 1 of 2 hotels on Berjaya Hills - either Colmar Tropicale/ Chateau so there isn’t many options if this is not to your liking.
The facilities were also not as well maintained as expected and the whole place just lacked vibes and atmosphere. The bathroom was also slippery and there was a lack of towels!
Felt that the place has so much wasted potential. Colmar Tropicale and Japanese Village felt so tired looking - a much needed rejuvenation would really boost the place.
