Aishah AbidinReturned to this hotel after 10 years. Many changes, especially the pool. We stayed in a deluxe room. The room was quite spacious and clean, though the lighting was a bit dim. The water pressure was strong, which made for a pleasant shower. The mattress and pillows were just average. Breakfast was also just average with limited choices. The bellboy was excellent; he helped us carry all our luggage without complaint, even using the stairs since there's no elevator to my room's building. It was fine though. We'll definitely be back because the kids loved the pool.

This was our 1st stay in the resort and it turned out to an interesting & awesome experience!
We checked-in on 11th of March & checked-out on 13th of March. I booked a 2-single bed room but the hotel given us a king bed room at the upper floor. After talking to the front desk. I was told only king bed room was available. However, my wife didn't have a good night sleep as she was having light sleep, so easily waken-up due to noise & movement. The upper floor somehow was noisy due to the traffic outside the hotel. We have no choice but to feedback to the hotel manager on the 2nd day. The manager Ms Su was kind enough and upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite on the ground floor, with 2 single beds & a king bed. That made our 2nd night slept peacefully. Thanks Ms Su of her attentiveness.
The morning breakfast was a ala carte menu of Malaysian & western cuisine. Not a fantastic food but the service given by the professional F&B staffs made the experience so pleasant! Sincere thanks to F&B supervisor Santhosh & staff Myint of their attentive service.

Guest Userit was a very pleasent stay, good customer service with serene and healing vibe location of the resort. the resort promised rusty vibe and is exactly what we got. regarding cleanliness can be improve a lot. esp the lizard poop and previous tenant’s hair waste. food taste also can improve and can add juices options for breakfast. other than that it was a very nice stay. thank you.

SgsamHad an enjoyable stay at 1001 Hotel overall. One of the biggest highlights is its location. It’s situated away from the busy casino crowds, making it a peaceful retreat while still offering easy access to the attractions. The view is absolutely stunning—waking up to a sea of clouds was truly unforgettable and one of the best parts of the stay.
That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The check-in process was slower than expected (only one staff) and the front desk staff could communicate more clearly and proactively with guests. Better coordination and customer service during check-in would create a much better first impression.
Another downside is the limited food options within or near the hotel. While this may not be an issue for short stays, having more dining choices would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet place to relax with spectacular mountain and cloud views, 1001 is a great choice. With improvements to the check-in experience and more food options, it would be an even better destination.

We had a lovely family staycation at Colmar Tropicale and really enjoyed our time there. The surroundings were beautiful and made for a relaxing getaway. A heartfelt thank you to the team for upgrading our room and surprising my husband with a complimentary birthday dessert. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made his birthday extra special, and we truly appreciated it. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Every staff member we met was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only area that could use some improvement is the bathroom cleanliness, as it wasn't quite up to the standard we expected. Other than that, we had a great stay and created wonderful memories with our family. We'd definitely consider coming back again.

travelbug123What an excellent respite to this place after a trip coming from KL ! All the staff are friendly, welcoming and so helpful without being over the top - from the bellboys, reception, janitors to kitchen staff. Big shout out to them for the great service and thank you ! The bellboys especially were so enthusiastic in helping us with the luggages and so friendly in greeting every customer. Service recovery was also very efficient, we had an unsatisfactory issue with our room but it was resolved very quickly by the front desk lady manager on duty. The location and facilities of the hotel is also excellent - property is clean and well maintained, towels for beach and pool aplenty and poolside and beach facilities efficient. Room may not be big but it was well designed and well thought out and had everything you need for a good beach holiday. The balcony is clean and with outdoor chairs that one can actually sit in comfortably. Housekeeping was also excellent and thorough every single day. Kudos to the team ! Check-in is late at 4pm but I understand that's because rooms will only be ready for guests after a quality control inspection. I can really tell the attention to details in the housekeeping and room design. Food from the pool bar was really excellent ! Breakfast was enjoyable. We also dined at the Italian Bistro one evening and it was good though not cheap ! One feedback I have would be to include a multi layer clothes drying rack in the balcony ! Thumsb up and 5 stars all round from me !

This was my first time vacationing here, and overall I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff were very polite, warm, and sincere, providing attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay. The unique beachfront scenery is even more stunning than in the photos.
The food was above average, and we ended up having all our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—at the hotel during our stay. We also tried the massage therapy, and I have to say the environment was absolutely amazing—listening to the sound of the waves while enjoying professional massage techniques was a five-star experience.
We also went on a Jungle Trial. There are a few spots where clearer directional signage could be added.
As a small suggestion for the hotel, you might consider setting up a small shop selling souvenirs, postcards and snacks. Guests can truly relax and spend a leisurely time within the hotel without needing to go anywhere.
I would definitely come back again.

Guest UserMeow. The place is quiet and clean. The whole vibe is comfortable and the room is spacious. They provide toiletries, except for toothbrush and toothpaste. Meow
There are a lot of stores nearby and around 10mins drive to genting premium outlet. Meow
This is another room of the same type I booked, which is also spacious and comfy. The consistency is there.

hafizudin36Overall, everything was okay. However, it was quite strange that guests were not allowed to park their motorcycles inside the resort while the resort staff were allowed to do so. The resort is very large, and guests have to walk a considerable distance from the outside parking area.
Although buggy services are provided, there are only two available, and the waiting time can be quite long. With so much available space within the resort, it would make sense to designate a parking area for guests' motorcycles. This would greatly improve convenience for guests.

Anonymous UserService was exceptional. The concierge, front office, housekeeping and f&b personnel were absolutely great! They were attentive and had great mannerisms! The hotel was also located within lush greenery which is really calming and serene.
But I would have reservations for the interiors. It is a very very dated hotel as it felt like the interior is still stuck in the 1980-1990s. Only 1 of 2 hotels on Berjaya Hills - either Colmar Tropicale/ Chateau so there isn’t many options if this is not to your liking.
The facilities were also not as well maintained as expected and the whole place just lacked vibes and atmosphere. The bathroom was also slippery and there was a lack of towels!
Felt that the place has so much wasted potential. Colmar Tropicale and Japanese Village felt so tired looking - a much needed rejuvenation would really boost the place.
