HI New York City Hostel

This hostel was a pleasant surprise! The young lady working at the hostel's small shop was also very pretty.

The location is excellent, very close to several subway lines, making it convenient for getting around. It's about a 10-minute walk from the M60 airport express bus stop. There are supermarkets and Chinese restaurants nearby. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. You can cook in the communal kitchen, and there are also simple meals available for purchase on the first floor. This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I had a great experience. This one was much better than the same brand's hostel I stayed at later in Boston. The 6-bed dorm was much more spacious than the 8-bed dorm; I forgot to take photos of the 6-bed room.

I booked this hotel for my friends, and they said their roommates were incredibly difficult to deal with (some were making video calls at 3 AM, others overstayed their booking, and personal hygiene was a big issue). However, the hostel itself was very clean and hygienic.

This hostel definitely lives up to its reputation in NYC! The location is fantastic, super close to the subway, and the atmosphere is great. I loved that the bathrooms even had hairdryers. Security is also top-notch; you need to swipe your card every time you enter.

This was my first solo trip and I stayed here. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room and shower were, as they were regularly cleaned, making my stay very comfortable. Just a heads up, the lockers don't have padlocks, so it's a good idea to bring your own if you're concerned. The location is also quite good, with a subway station nearby and easy access to various tourist spots by bus.
