Yufuin Onsen Ryokan Mebaeso

This is a quiet and comfortable place to relax in a secluded area! Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and my child loved it too. We will definitely visit again next time!^^

A very high-quality onsen ryokan that truly allows you to relax. The staff's service attitude is excellent. The only drawback is that its location is not very close to the onsen town.

The hotel was peaceful and comfortable, and the room was much larger than expected. Both breakfast and dinner were incredibly generous in portion size and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it for families. The hotel's hot spring was also very relaxing.

Loved it! Took so many photos and the onsen was incredibly relaxing. When in Japan, staying in a traditional Japanese inn like this is a must. The food was delicious, and I'm so glad we booked this room. The only minor drawback was that some other guests in the restaurant were a bit noisy, with kids running around, but I guess that's to be expected.

The location is in a relatively quiet area, very comfortable. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the train station, which is convenient, but there are only a few morning departures. There are no convenience stores nearby, so make sure to prepare all your necessities before heading to the hotel. During my stay, I needed to buy some daily essentials and had to walk about 1 kilometer to Aeon, but the country path was quite pleasant. There's a large public bath and two small outdoor family hot springs, making it a great place to relax for a couple of days.

Had such a healing and relaxing time!!!!!!!! If I ever come back to Yufuin, I'd love to stay at Mebaeso again. Pros: The accommodation is beautiful right from the entrance, the Kaiseki dinner was delicious (especially the sashimi), the staff were friendly, and the private family bath was incredibly romantic!!! Cons: The private family bath operates on a first-come, first-served basis without prior booking, so it was hard to catch it when it was free. The rental bicycles felt poorly maintained (chains were all rusty, and the seat wouldn't stay fixed, plus one brake was broken).

It was much better than I expected, and the food was neat and delicious! Plus, we didn't have to wait to use the family bath! We used it in the evening and again in the morning!

A very cozy hotel! They have a friendly guy who speaks Chinese and offers shuttle service. The room is also very spacious. I'll definitely come back next time. You can call ahead to have him take your luggage to the hotel, and then head straight out to explore!
