Staying at this hotel inside the ancient city of Pingyao was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From the very beginning, the hospitality was flawless. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful—they even met us right at the entrance of the adjacent hutong to guide us to the property and help with our luggage, making our arrival completely hassle-free. The hotel itself is breathtaking, built around beautifully preserved, traditional Chinese courtyards with meticulous attention to detail. The atmosphere is authentic, peaceful, and full of charm. Despite being in such a central location, it was extremely quiet, allowing for a deeply restful night's sleep in a comfortable bed and clean room. The on-site restaurant is another major plus: the food is generous and delicious, and hotel guests receive a very welcome discount. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and top-tier hospitality. We would definitely stay here again!

The inn specifically sent a car to pick me up from the train station! The three-courtyard complex is so well-preserved that when I got to Wang Family Compound, I actually felt it wasn't as good as the inn! Also, the food at the inn's restaurant was actually better than other places! It would be even better if the electric toilet had a bidet function!
