YuYang Hotel

This hotel is located in the embassy district, making it very quiet and peaceful. Transportation is also convenient; it's easy to get a taxi to the airport and various attractions. Although built in the early 90s, the hotel's exterior and lobby are quite beautiful and well-maintained. The family suite is very spacious, and the bedding and bathroom inside are all very clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and promptly met our needs every day, for example, by providing extra bottled water. Our stay during the National Day holiday was excellent, offering good value for money.

This hotel was recommended by a Beijing local. The location is excellent, surrounded by scenic spots! For the price, it's very comfortable and a great value.

Near the embassy district, and close to Sanlitun Taikoo Li and the bar street. There are also two nice little bars right next to the hotel. The surrounding area is quiet.

I had arranged a 3 PM check-out with the front desk on my last stay, and I did the same this time. To my surprise, at 2:20 PM, a front desk staff member called me with a demanding tone, like a police officer, saying, "Come down now!" My impression instantly plummeted! I'll never dare to stay here again with such service!

They claim this is a four-star hotel, but I honestly couldn't see any advantages. To be fair, the room itself looked okay. However, I would never recommend a hotel with carpeted floors – it's just a way for them to save on cleaning staff, as they barely mop, and the carpets were full of dust. The complimentary disposable dental kit was very low quality, and the tea bags were also quite cheap. The power outlets were inconveniently placed. I specifically chose a four-star hotel in Beijing to experience a good breakfast, but I was sorely disappointed. The variety was limited, and the food quality was mediocre. For the noodles they offered, couldn't they at least provide some sauce, like tomato and egg or zhajiang? We were left eating plain noodles. The hotel's location isn't very convenient, not close to the subway. The nearest stations for three lines are all over a kilometer away. And at night, couldn't the hotel sign at least be lit up? How are potential guests supposed to find it? This four-star hotel completely overturned my expectations.

Location: Unbeatable. Surrounded by the embassy district, so safety is absolutely not a concern. Liangmahe Park is right downstairs, and my window faced the China Zun building. Facilities & Decor: This is the biggest drawback. It's truly outdated, exuding a vibe from the last century from top to bottom. The hallways smelled of decaying wood, and the swimming pool was rundown with an unpleasant, damp odor. Service: Rather stiff, with that 'iron rice bowl' mentality you often find in state-owned enterprises. For a supposedly four-star hotel, they didn't even have a delivery robot; guests had to go downstairs themselves to pick up their food orders. Breakfast: The variety was mediocre, and what's worse, it was exactly the same for two consecutive days over the weekend. The dishes were identical. For 80 yuan per person, this is frankly unreasonable. Hygiene: The room carpet was matted and grimy, the toilet seat was yellowish, and the roller blind over the bathtub had previous guests' hair embedded in its crevices. Suggestion: I highly recommend the hotel owner give the place a thorough renovation. With such an excellent location and architectural design, it has the potential to become a proper five-star hotel.

This is an old hotel I've stayed at multiple times. The in-room facilities are a bit dated. For example, the air conditioning was set to 24 degrees Celsius, but it didn't seem to work, only showing the room temperature as 26 degrees. Thankfully, it was around 35 degrees outside, so it was still tolerable.

The third picture shows the lighting situation from my room facing the Liangma River at 9 PM on the day I checked in. Despite low occupancy, our family of two adults and two children, who booked two standard rooms, were assigned rooms with arguably the worst views and orientation (see pictures one and two). Additionally, these two rooms were upgraded at the front desk with an extra charge, as the front desk staff told us the rooms we booked through Ctrip were very small. After raising the issue with the hotel, the customer service manager was very polite and offered to move us to different rooms. However, we felt it would be a waste of time, so we declined. I'm not sure what logic the hotel uses for room assignments, but it's clear the staff who assigned our rooms that day didn't intend to provide guests with a good experience. I promised the customer service manager I wouldn't leave a negative review, but I have to document the objective facts.
