Ole Tai Sam Un Hotel

This is my second stay at the Macau Grand Three-Eight Hotel, and the service is consistently excellent, as always. The lobby has a lovely fragrance, and it's super convenient as it's right in the city center, so you can pretty much walk everywhere.

Location: The location is fantastic! It's right across from Rua de Cinco de Outubro, very close to St. Paul's Ruins, and there are many bus stops nearby, making it super convenient to get to Taipa or the border crossing. Plus, there are tons of great food options around the hotel~ Cleanliness: Pretty clean. Facilities: The hotel generously upgraded us to a room with a bathtub, and the hot water was abundant. Macau's old town has a lot of hilly streets, and you end up doing a lot of walking – easily 30,000 steps in a day. Being able to take a bath at night was truly wonderful! The hotel even provided disposable bath liners, which was perfect! Service: Both the front desk and the cleaning staff were incredibly nice! They always greeted us warmly whenever they saw us and were very friendly. They even helped us with the room upgrade – thank you! If your itinerary involves a lot of walking around the old town, this hotel is excellent! It's close to everything and perfectly walkable. When you're tired, you can just hop on a bus, which is very convenient! You can use the 'Bus Union' card on Macau buses, so you don't even need to activate a bus QR code, which makes it even easier!

The facilities are outdated, and the room is ridiculously small, lacking even a bedside table. You have to squeeze sideways and suck in your stomach just to get into the bathroom. I bumped my arms countless times while showering. And for such a room, they charged four figures during the holiday season! Even the budget hotels like GreenTree Inn and Puding I've stayed at in Beijing and Shanghai for a hundred yuan were far better than this. Judge for yourselves.

Clean enough! Last time I went to Qingyuan Bijia Mountain, it was 189 RMB for two large beds, and the room was big enough, but it felt very dusty. The bedding was also sticky. Not here. The environment is quiet, the bedding is clean and tidy, and there are no water marks on the mirror, very dry and refreshing. Downstairs are all the main stores of Ju Xiang Yuan, Choi Heong Yuen, and Agen Beef Offal. Very convenient... Turn left out of the door, go up the slope, and then turn right, there are many restaurants, and the prices are cheap, much better than the area around St. Paul's Ruins. The front desk service attitude was also very good.
