If you're just sightseeing, there's no need to make a special trip to Wuzhong just for this attraction, as objectively speaking, Wuzhong doesn't have many attractions. However, if you have a sentimental attachment to the Yellow River, or to the early years of the People's Republic of China when everything was in ruins, then Qingtongxia is worth a visit. Package A and Package B appear to differ only in the boat tour duration; otherwise, they're pretty much the same. Once inside the scenic area, you don't need to go to the Water Conservancy Museum. Take the shuttle bus directly to the bottom of the dam, then cross the dam to board the boat. The boat journey in Qingtongxia takes about twenty minutes before turning back. On the return trip, the first stop is at the Yu the Great site, where everyone disembarks. We didn't visit that; we just found the boat about to set sail. The next stop was sheepskin rafting, which we also didn't disembark from. We went straight to the 108 Pagodas, climbed to the highest point, and the view was fantastic! Finally, after leaving the 108 Pagodas scenic area, we took a sightseeing bus to the Yellow River Iron Bridge. From the iron bridge, you can take photos of the Qingtongxia Dam from the front! Then, you walk back to the parking lot. All in all, it takes about 2.5 hours.
