The total area of Zhaosu Wetland Park is 1.03 million mu, and the Jiefangqiao Wetland is a habitat for migratory birds with a total area of more than 20,000 mu. The wetland is home to a rich variety of biological species, with 143 species of higher plants, including one species of national second-level protected plants, 29 species of national first- and second-level protected animals, and 90 species of birds, including 15 species of national first- and second-level protected birds, such as the great bustard, grey crane, hooded crane, whooper swan, black grouse, ring-necked pheasant, kite, etc.

Located on the Tekes River section of Zhaosu Wetland Park, it is a landmark cultural tourism project of "Hometown of Heavenly Horses in China," officially becoming a permanent performance in 2019. Latest Showtimes (2026): 5 shows daily from June to August, at 11:00, 13:00, 16:00, 18:30, and 21:00. Each performance lasts approximately 15 minutes, with the horses running back and forth three times in the river channel. Choosing the 18:30 show is highly recommended for watching the "Heavenly Horses Bathing in the River," offering exceptionally photogenic views of the horses galloping on the water at sunset. Hidden Bonus: After the 13:00, 16:00, and 18:30 shows, you can enjoy free viewing of Kazakh folk performances such as "Girl Chasing" and "Goat Grabbing." Short one-day itinerary: Suitable for tourists with limited time. Visit the core attractions of Kalajun in the morning, then drive 1.5 hours to Zhaosu in the afternoon to catch the 4:00 PM Tianma Bathing River performance. Return to Tekes on the same day. For tourists driving themselves, the West Gate is the preferred entrance for the Tianma Bathing River performance. It's closer to the performance area, and ticket checking closes 15 minutes later than at the East Gate, avoiding a long drive.
