The Huzhu Tu Nationality Homeland Park is located in the Huzhu Tu Autonomous County. It is a park with the theme of Tu nationality culture. You can visit the characteristic buildings, learn about the Tu nationality culture, and watch performances full of ethnic minority customs. It is rich in content and worth a visit. The Tu nationality is a minority unique to Qinghai Province. It is said that they are descendants of the Tuyuhun people in history. Huzhu is a Tu nationality autonomous county in the motherland. There are special cultures, costumes, architectures, songs and dances, many of which are similar to the Mongolian and Tibetan peoples. They are both integrated and have their own characteristics. There are three main attractions in the Homeland Park. The first is the unique Tu nationality architecture in the park. You can visit pavilions, houses, bedrooms, etc. The second is the Tu Nationality Museum, which displays many unique clothes, costumes and tools of the Tu nationality, as well as text and picture descriptions. It is a good place to understand the Tu nationality culture. The latter, which is also wonderful, is the Tu nationality performance. There are Tu nationality-specific songs and dances, wedding demonstrations, and a thrilling wheel autumn performance, which is a unique folk project of the Tu nationality. It is very exciting and worth watching.

Show More ReviewsAlthough it's a AAAAA-rated scenic area, it seems to be relatively niche. I went during the Dragon Boat Festival, and it wasn't too crowded. The main attraction is about understanding the history and culture of the Tu ethnic group. After entering the scenic area early in the morning, you first visit the museum. A series of performances start at 10 am; you can follow the performances to explore the various smaller attractions. All the performances end around noon. A visit to the scenic area takes a whole morning. Those interested in learning about different ethnic cultures might want to check it out.
