Daolang Tribe

Daolang Tribe, also known as Dolan Tribe, is located in Awat County, south of Aksu City, approximately 58 km from downtown Aksu and about 18 km from Awat County town. This attraction showcases the folk customs of the Daolang ethnic group, along with desert landscapes, rivers, and poplar forests. The scenic area features beautiful scenery and numerous recreational activities, offering visitors a glimpse into the mysterious culture of the Daolang people, making it a must-visit destination in Aksu. Covering a vast area of nearly 1 km in both length and width, the attraction is best explored on foot, with a recommended visit duration of 3–4 hours. The western side borders a river and features a lush fruit orchard, creating a refreshing oasis unique to Xinjiang's predominantly Gobi desert landscape. The riverbank area includes a sand sculpture park and a statue of Lin Zexu, perfect for photo opportunities. At the center of the river, visitors can enjoy a water recreation zone and an open-air ecological swimming pool. The middle section of the attraction focuses on leisure activities and exhibitions highlighting Daolang folk culture.

The Dolan people are the indigenous inhabitants around the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang, having lived in isolated desert oases while preserving their unique folk customs. Here you'll find a folk culture exhibition hall where visitors can learn about the Dolan ethnic group's stories. The area also features vineyards, fig orchards, fishing zones, DIY barbecue areas, and farmsteads for recreational activities. The eastern section of the attraction showcases vast primitive poplar forests - these resilient desert trees make for spectacular photography. To the southeast lies a recreated traditional Dolan village, complete with authentic dwellings, wooden carts, farming tools, and other scenes replicating the Dolan way of life, open for exploration.
