Novotel Cairo El Borg

The hotel is just across the street from the Nile River, and Tahrir Square is on the other side of the river. The Cairo Tower is to the left and back of the hotel. The rooms are very clean, and there's a mini-fridge with drinks available for a fee. The slippers were very comfortable. There are many Egyptian restaurants nearby, and the Nile River is beautiful. The bridge views at night are stunning. If you get a river view room, you can open the window and see the Nile.

The hotel is beautiful and has an amazing view overlooking the Nile and the Zamalek promenade. There are also restaurants and cafes within a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

Exceptional! Absolutely excellent. The staff are cheerful, kind, highly respectful, and professional. Everyone treats you like family, as if you're the owner of the place. My greetings and thanks to my two honorable and respected daughters, Miss Aya and Miss Menna, and to Mr. Khaled, the restaurant manager, and to all the staff. The location is superb. The views from the back rooms towards Cairo Tower are no less wonderful and beautiful than the views from the front rooms overlooking the magnificent Nile. The breakfast buffet is rich and varied with appetizers, salads, fruits, pastries, natural juice, and a cappuccino machine, but there are few hot dishes. God willing, we will have future visits to this outstanding location.

The hotel is in a good area, with a beautiful promenade nearby for walks. The lobby and breakfast area are lovely. The food is delicious. There's paid parking available. You get a stunning view of the Nile. The room is clean, but a bit outdated.

First off, the location is great – close to the Old Museum and the old city, right by the Nile, so you can catch a sunrise or sunset from your room. There's also a rooftop restaurant with a view. Overall, it's pretty good and worth the price, but don't compare it to hotels back home! All in all, it was decent, and I especially enjoyed the breakfast. So, my experience this time around was quite good.

The hotel is right by the Nile, and since we had a private car, I'm not sure about public transport access. The facilities are a bit old, and the hygiene isn't great; the carpets looked dusty. It's passable. We arrived late and booked a room with a sofa bed. The staff promptly made up the bed, and their service was good. Breakfast wasn't extensive, but everything was edible. If you're mostly out exploring and just need a place to sleep, then it offers pretty good value for money.

My experience at Novotel Cairo El Borg was generally good, and I'd rate the hotel 7.5 out of 10. The location in Zamalek is excellent, close to many places and restaurants. The staff are helpful and respectful, and the cleanliness and service levels are good. The hotel is suitable for short stays, especially for those looking for a prime location and easy access to lively areas. However, the rooms and facilities are in need of some updating and renovation. There's clear room for improvement in the level of detail and service to match the hotel's standing and location. Overall, it was a good experience, and I expect it could be much better with some improvements and refurbishments.
