Hotels near Tijuca National Park, Rio de Janeiro

"The hotel is very nice, a real classical beauty. The public spaces and the pool are very nice too, and the breakfast is good. The only thing I really disliked is the Checkin/Checkout process... We lost a lot of time at the arrival, when all you want is get to your room as quick as possible."

"Service : Good at front desk . Poor in minor services like providing towels for the beach ( unkind) Facilities : quite reasonable. Food : According to standards. The rule that you can’t take away any pastry or else after having breakfast, in my opinion, regrettable. Specially when I was leaving and the guy in charge stopped me as I was committing  a crime. That was a bad experience for me , so I’ll keep that in mind if my acquaintances ask me what my experience was like at that hotel.  I wouldn’t say friendliness is their defining characteristic, including the service at the lobby bar."

"The hotel is amazing! The only downside is that it rained, which made the boat trip a little more uncomfortable. Luiza was very attentive!"

"The room had a problem with a clogged bathroom sink, the smart TV froze during broadcasts, making it impossible to watch, and other channels also had a delay, negatively impacting the entertainment experience. The air conditioning leaked. The delay in changing rooms caused me to lose 3 hours. The phone service and room service delivery were slow. Overall, a poor experience, which led to this low rating."

"A equipe muito receptiva. Deixando bem a vontade. A comida foi uma das melhores que já comi e com o preço acessível. Com certeza irei voltar!"

"The hotel is located on quiet corner, at the start of Barra da Tijuca. There aren't amenities in walking distance, but there is a cafe across the street and a couple upscale restaurants. It has a sauna on demand and a gym, but the best is the beach - guarded, good for surfing and swimming. The room was large, with enough closet space for a longer solo stay. The bed was huge, very comfy, great shower. Breakfast has a lot of fruit and pastry variety, including local options."

"Hotel location is actually in Rio, the advantage is that the opposite is the sea, the scenery is very good, the service is also very good. The only problem is that the breakfast is full of flying insects, meat and bread jam, it is impossible to swallow."

"This property has the potential to be amazing, but it needs a few key updates. The location is fabulous, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is great both in terms of service and food quality. The room was spacious, and the balcony was unbeatable. If you only speak English, you can get by staying here because all of the staff speak excellent English. We encountered a problem when the showerhead broke off, but the repairman came reasonably quickly to replace it, and he was very polite and not disruptive. We ordered room service, and Dom Rio, the hotel’s restaurant, delivered it quickly. I had the filet which was cooked properly to the correct temperature (medium rare). My fiancé had the alfredo pasta which she liked a lot. The breakfast had a huge selection, and everything tasted good. The only thing keeping this hotel from earning top marks is the general state of much of the decor in the rooms. The curtains look shabby and dirty from moisture, and the wood of the cabinets is warped also. It is very hard to maintain a room that is constantly exposed to salt water and ocean breeze, but the materials chosen have not stood up to age. I would recommend staying here if you are interested in staying in Barra at a nice but reasonably priced hotel, but don’t expect the finest luxury. Expect a very large, fairly clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view."

"Water was not hot, it was varying, painting of dirty walls(room 307), noise of the street and of the rooms next door , , dirty lift, staff with bad service, bad breakfast: coffee with strange taste, pony juice, mosquito egg watered. For this value, let's go! You have better options in the bar."

"Very clean hotel, good location, good restaurant. I ordered half board and it was a disappointment; it didn't live up to the restaurant's standards."
