The Slate, Phuket

Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. The property itself is strikingly designed, immaculately maintained, and delivers a distinctive aesthetic that sets it apart from many other resorts in Phuket. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, and the staff were consistently professional and courteous. There is no question that The Slate offers a high-quality product. That said, I do feel that the value proposition is somewhat questionable relative to the nightly rate. While the resort is visually impressive, certain functional aspects of the stay did not align with the premium pricing. In particular, the water pressure in our room was extremely low. For a resort positioned at the luxury end of the market, this is a material shortcoming. A consistently weak shower significantly detracts from guest comfort and should be rectified as a priority. Additionally, as a couple travelling without children, we were surprised to be allocated a room located the furthest distance from the adults-only pools. Given that the resort clearly differentiates between family-friendly and adult-oriented spaces, it would seem logical from a guest-experience perspective to prioritise room allocation accordingly. The current approach felt misaligned with guest demographics and preferences. In summary, The Slate remains an impressive and enjoyable resort, but certain operational details and the overall value for money warrant review. With some attention to these issues, the guest experience could more closely match the premium positioning of the property.

The Slate Phuket is an amazing choice for couples. The resort is beautifully integrated with nature, creating a very peaceful and romantic atmosphere. Everything feels thoughtfully designed and harmonious with the surroundings. The check-in experience was especially impressive — the guided hotel tour during check-in really helped us understand the resort and made us feel welcomed right away. I also think this resort would be perfect for families staying long-term. There is plenty of space, a calm environment, and facilities that make it easy to truly relax and enjoy the stay. Highly recommended for both couples and families looking for a nature-inspired luxury getaway.

The Slate hotel is such a great resort which near by Nai Yang Beach as 10mins walking distance with private entrance and 8mins driving distance to the Phuket international airport. Highly recommend check in earlier to enjoy their swimming pools and free charge of poolside welcome drinks. The room might included insects please be aware. But the bed is too soft and cannot support well for back and the breakfast is not good enough too. Many options but not tasty enough. Highly recommend Black Ginger restaurant.

The Slate in Phuket is a stylish, design-driven resort with a unique industrial-chic aesthetic, lush grounds, and excellent pools. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the spa and dining—especially Black Ginger—are standout highlights. It’s close to the airport and great for a relaxing escape, though the area is quiet and not ideal if you want lots of nightlife

I enjoyed our stay with my granddaughter at The Slate so much. Super room quality, super facilities, splendid breakfast. Very close to the beach. Many thanks to the hotel staff!

Amazing resort with a beautiful design, the room is spacious, the breakfast is delicious. There are some different bars and restaurants on the property, a bit pricey though. I was travelling with an infant and there’s a playroom for kids and a playground but the thing that I really liked that it’s not full of kids, and if you don’t wanna see any kids, you can go to the pool for adults only. The hotel is very close to the airport and they can organise airport transfer for 600batt per van. The beach is right across the narrow road from the hotel, it’s not that beautiful but it’s full of beach restaurants where you can enjoy sunsets while drinking a cocktail (something you can’t do in Kata or Karon because there are no beach bars or restaurants). I wanted to stay at this location because it’s closer to the port for taking a day trip to Similan islands, so I didn’t expect much from the beach but in the end I loved that location much better than Kata. I would definitely come back again if I’m in Phuket. The service, the food, everything was 5 star
