Asked for a simple pillow. Called the front desk, and they told me to wait as they would send one. We waited for a very long time, but no one came. I called again, only to be told that there were no pillows available. If there were no pillows, why didn’t anyone call us back to let us know instead of making us wait?
Since my daughter was already getting sleepy, we gave up on the pillow and simply asked for a blanket instead. I even said “selimut” to make sure there was no misunderstanding. Again, we waited for a long time with no delivery. When we called again, they said they were sending it “now.” What arrived wasn’t even a blanket—it was a bedsheet. What am I supposed to do with a bedsheet when I specifically asked for a blanket?
My husband eventually had to go down to the front desk. The staff told him to go back to the room and wait for a phone call while he was literally standing right in front of them. We even waited another 30 minutes at the lobby, only to be told that the entire M Resort & Hotel didn’t have a single pillow available. Seriously? A 5-star hotel with not even ONE spare pillow? That’s unbelievable and a complete waste of our time.
Before coming here, I had already read reviews mentioning that many guests had injured themselves because of the sharp pool tiles. We were extra careful because we were travelling with our young daughter, yet she still ended up cutting her foot. This is clearly a safety issue that should have been addressed long ago.
On top of that, the air conditioning in our room wasn’t cold at night. We called several times requesting assistance, but no one came to fix it or even check on it.
Overall, the facilities may look nice, but the service was extremely disappointing. Poor communication, slow response, unresolved maintenance issues, and obvious safety concerns are simply not what anyone expects from a hotel that claims to be 5 stars. We left feeling frustrated and honestly regretted choosing to stay here.
