I am honestly surprised this hotel is rated as a 4-star property on booking platforms. Our experience was far below expectations.
The hotel is very outdated and poorly maintained. The landscaping is overgrown, resulting in a large number of mosquitoes throughout the property. On our first day, the air conditioning in our room was not working and had to be repaired after we checked in. The bathroom was also in poor condition, with stains and visible mold on the walls, mirrors, and floors.
Other disappointments included a badly sunken mattress, extra charges for the gym, no foot-washing station for guests returning from the beach, a strict limit of two bottles of water per day, and rude housekeeping staff when we requested one additional bottle.
The worst incident happened on our third night. At around 12:30 a.m., the electricity in our room suddenly tripped while we were sleeping. With no phone in the room, we had to walk to reception in the middle of the night to report the issue. We were left standing outside our room in our pajamas, getting bitten by mosquitoes while waiting for assistance. The staff did not proactively offer us a new room—we had to request it ourselves.
To make matters worse, no apology was offered during check-out for the disruption. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star, the lack of maintenance, poor service recovery, and overall guest experience were extremely disappointing.
We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.
