The winding streets, the river views, the endless stairs, the sizzling hotpot and the neon lights all come together to create something truly unique. 🧡 Four days might not be enough to see everything, but it’s definitely enough to fall in love with the city’s energy… and come home craving hotpot again! 😂✈️ Would you visit Chongqing for the incredible skyline or the food? 🌶️🏙️ #Chongqing #ChongqingTravel #ChinaTravel #VisitChina #ChongqingFood #FoodieTravel #ChongqingHotpot #Hongyadong #LizibaStation #CiqikouAncientTown #Jiefangbei #ChinaTrip #TravelInspiration #TravelBucketList #ExploreChina

Bought tickets to Chongqing Zoo on Trip.com. Despite visiting on a rainy day, the zoo was still bustling with visitors, which makes me think the crowds would be even larger on a sunny day. The highlight for us was finally getting to see plenty of pandas – especially after having missed them during our trip to Chengdu! 🐼 If you’re planning a visit, I’d definitely recommend avoiding peak times like Golden Week, as the crowd levels can be overwhelming. All in all, Chongqing Zoo is well worth a visit, especially for panda lovers – just try to choose a quieter day for the best experience. #realreview

On Jiufeng Mountain in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, there is a place that looks like a fairyland—Jiufeng Yaoci. Known as the "Little Jiuzhaigou of the city," it is an excellent spot for people to get close to nature and relax. Jiufeng Yaoci is a subtropical mountain forest wetland, consisting of nine colorful pools scattered among the mountains, with an average elevation of 450 meters. The main pools include Jinfeng Pool, Longfeng Pool, and Laifeng Pool, each with distinct shapes and unique environments. The lake water is crystal clear and jade-blue, also called the "Colorful Yaoci." As the seasons change, the water displays different colors such as clear, light green, and emerald green, as if nature has spilled its palette. Beside the lakes, dense cedar and pine forests flourish, complementing the clear waters. Winding forest paths invite visitors to stroll, breathe fresh air, listen to birdsong, and feel the gentle breeze, helping them forget the city's noise and worries. Jiufeng Yaoci not only boasts beautiful natural scenery but also many supporting tourism resources nearby. The century-old pear orchard nearby has the largest concentrated group of ancient pear trees in the Chongqing area. In spring, when the pear blossoms bloom, the mountains are covered in white, harmonizing with the lake and mountain scenery of Jiufeng Yaoci to create a stunning springtime painting. For transportation, visitors can drive themselves, reaching the area via Chengyu Expressway, exiting at Hangu, and passing through Jinfeng Town; or take public buses from Yangjiaping Zoo, Shapingba Shinianpan, and other locations to Jinfeng, then transfer to the scenic area. Moreover, Jiufeng Yaoci is free to enter and welcomes visitors all year round, day and night. If you are tired of the city's hustle and bustle, why not take a walk at Jiufeng Yaoci, enjoy this picturesque scenery, and experience the tranquility and beauty of nature?

Chongqing Zoo is the oldest and one of the largest zoos in China. It is located in the Jiulongpo District. *The main attraction here is the giant panda breeding center. ☂️ We visited on a rainy morning on a public holiday (June 1st) — it was crowded, but not overwhelmingly so. There was a real festive vibe in the air. The weather was actually quite pleasant; the rain helped cool down the summer heat. 💰 We were pleasantly surprised that the entrance fee was only 25 yuan (~280 RUB). The zoo is divided into different themed zones. 🐼 The first area we stumbled upon was the panda zone. It’s home to 23 giant pandas (one of the highest numbers in China), including the famous twins, Yu Ke and Yu Ai. The crowd in this area was definitely more energetic and, dare I say, "aggressive." Everyone was eager to catch a glimpse and snap photos of the pandas munching on bamboo. 🎋 We managed to do just that — there are plenty of enclosures featuring these happy and well-groomed "bears." 😍 The red pandas also have a large and fascinating enclosure; we ended up sticking around there for about 30 minutes. We also saw an active sloth for the very first time. It kept trying to climb its way over to somewhere else. And four penguins put on an entire show. Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, Private, is that you? 🐧 The zoo is also home to rare South China tigers and golden monkeys. 🙊 The monkeys are a whole different story — they are incredibly funny and super active! I’ve never seen anything quite like it, so be sure to check them out. During our visit, we also spotted: Asian elephants, white rhinos, giraffes, hippos, zebras, and alpacas (along with so many other animals that it’s hard to even keep count). We highly recommend a visit! 🌿 ❗️Don't miss -> The large lake with waterfowl (black swans, flamingos), the reptile pavilion, the aquarium (featuring the Chinese giant salamander), and the fun park with dinosaur figures. 📍Address: No.1, Xijiao Yicun, Yangjiaping, Jiulongpo District (Zoo Metro Station, Line 2). Opening hours: 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM (ticket counters close at 05:00 PM, entry during peak season). ⚡️Ticket price: 25 yuan. Children under 6 get in for free.

If you’re putting together a list of the top attractions in Chongqing, Chongqing Zoo absolutely deserves a spot! I gave it a solid 5 out of 5 for both sightseeing fun and family-friendly vibes. My main motivation for visiting was the giant pandas, and they totally lived up to the hype. The zoo is wonderfully green and lush, almost like a peaceful park tucked within the city’s buzz. Accessibility is top-notch 🚇—the zoo is right outside Zoo Station on Metro Line 2, making it a breeze to reach from the city center. The experience comes at a steal, with entry tickets just 25 RMB! This family-friendly destination is packed with play spaces and activities for kids, making it the perfect day out for all ages. The Panda House truly wowed me. Watching the adorable, playful “stars” enjoying their breakfast up close was unforgettable 🐼❤️. Pro tip: for the best experience, get there early in the morning when both visitors and pandas are at their liveliest. Some handy tips for your visit: Chongqing is hilly, and the zoo’s grounds are no exception, so comfy shoes are a must. If you’re bringing a stroller, be prepared for stairs and slopes. Remember to bring your passport for ticket purchase, and try to arrive just as the zoo opens (between 08:00-08:30 AM). The pandas are most active between 09:00 and 11:00 AM before retreating to their air-conditioned enclosures for a siesta on hot afternoons. For photo ops, head straight from the main (East) entrance to the Panda House—a short walk to the right. The red panda enclosure is right nearby! All in all, Chongqing Zoo offers a memorable and budget-friendly adventure for travelers and locals alike. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city! #tripbest #tripbest _reviewer #china #chongqing

If you're traveling to Chongqing with your kids, we highly recommend the Chongqing Zoo. It's the perfect spot for all ages. The area is nice and shady, with plenty of animals to see—including pandas!
The entrance fee is an absolute steal at just over 100 THB. The zoo is huge, and the walking paths do include some gentle uphill strolls.
You'll find the pandas right in the middle of the zoo. They're super easy to spot since they're the main highlight here! They also have red pandas that are incredibly cute, so definitely don't miss out on them.
There are food and snack stalls dotted all along the way. The prices are very reasonable, just like what you'd pay outside the zoo.
- How to get there: Take the metro and get off at Zoo Station.
