Ascott Makati

Everything is goos bur the facilties are too old. Specially, TVs in the room is not even support Youtube. No remote controller for TV until I request to have.

For a 5 star hotel, the service is very annoying. They would call me randomly to ask for feedback a few hours after I checked in. They would knock on my door early in the morning while I'm still sleeping to do a "room check"... On the day of my check out, I had a knock on the door a bit past 9am, I ignored it as I was still in bed but they kept ringing the bell. I finally got up and the lady asked "is there anything I can help with?". Yes leave me alone. I went back to bed to rest and then got a phone call soon after as a reminder that check out is at 12pm. It's not even 10am yet and your staff already interrupted my sleep twice. Trying to get the room clean involves multiple phone calls. Once I left it to see how long it would take but at 6pm, I had to call since they never came during the day. Another time they cleaned, the cleaners said they ran out of towels so there would be someone who would deliver soon. I forgot about it until we went to have a shower and then it took almost an hour for the towels to arrive so we had to wait to use the bathroom as they took away the dirty towels so we didn't have anything to dry ourselves. Don't order room service. The food is very bad. I actually gagged on a drink they prepared. The TV is very old, they are still using cable technology. WiFi is patchy. Trying to get up and down the lift is a nightmare if you come at the wrong time as the line gets backed up all the way out into the street. My girlfriend was stopped by over eager security staff when she was trying to leave to buy some snacks as the room service meals were so bad even tho she had a room key and they would not let her up to the lobby on the 6th floor without me. Instead, I had to go down and pick her up from the ground floor where she was sitting in the corner like she was in trouble.

I had an exceptional stay at Ascott Makati. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Makati with direct access to Glorietta Mall, making shopping, dining, and exploring the city incredibly convenient. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well-maintained. I especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living space, which made it feel like a home away from home. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive, ensuring everything stayed spotless throughout my stay. The staff went above and beyond in every interaction. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the efficient service at breakfast, everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The amenities are top-notch, with a relaxing pool, well-equipped gym, and great dining options. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, all fresh and delicious. Overall, Ascott Makati delivers the perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and convenience. Whether for business or leisure, I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Manila.

Stayed just for one night. But has always been an amazing experience.

This was a "getaway" stay cation. Very nice to have a 20th floor suite with a view assigned to us. Very good access to Glorietta Mall. It did still seem like a bit of a small suite for a high end hotel, but perhaps that was because the CR is separated from the bedroom by a hall near the front door. I liked the water dispenser I'm place of a couple of paltry 300 ml water bottles. Coffee machine was abit finicky, and supplies of coffee thrifty, however. We did not take breakfast buffet here because of the high price (+1000 p each). Overall, just great!
