Chimelong Hotel

The hotel is well-maintained overall, but it's definitely showing its age. The soundproofing in the rooms is poor; you can clearly hear the Grand Circus at night and the noise from kids upstairs. Many of the staff have a robotic smile, perhaps they're just tired from work. As for the buffet, the variety and quality certainly don't justify the high price.

The location is super convenient, with a private access to the water park, which is fantastic for anyone looking to enjoy the water. They offer free parking, and during the summer, water park tickets are included with your stay.

The front desk proactively upgraded us to a family room, which had a giraffe-themed bunk bed that our child absolutely loved. We visited the Grand Circus, Happy World, Water Park, and Zoo repeatedly. The Bird Park didn't appeal to us much (mainly because we lack knowledge about birds and weren't very interested). We tried the White Tiger Restaurant, Qilin Restaurant, Panyu specialty foods, and the hotel's room service – all were a hit with both the adults and children in our family! Highly recommend. We're already looking forward to our next visit before we've even left.

Facilities: Well-equipped, but the hotel is a bit old, for example, the telephone is very dated and would be better if replaced. Hygiene: Clean Environment: Comfortable and convenient. The hotel is close to all the parks, and the rooms with package tickets are a great value. Service: Very friendly and enthusiastic. However, the service at one of the Chinese restaurants was really poor. There weren't many guests, but quite a few staff. We had to ask for the bill three times, and each time we were told to wait. We eventually got impatient after waiting half an hour before someone finally processed our payment. The service attitude was a stark contrast to hotels outside.

The room was really big and spacious, and it even had a bathtub. It felt a bit damp, though, maybe because there were a lot of books around and it had been raining consistently. My kid absolutely loved the White Tiger Restaurant, and the lunch buffet was a big hit too. After lunch, we spent a long time playing with the white tigers – my child just loved interacting with them! Before leaving, we bought a ton of white tiger merchandise. Hotel guests even get a discount!

Pros: The hotel's grand circus is highly recommended! It's also very convenient to get to the zoo! Taking the small train and cable car around is also great! Thumbs up! Cons: Once you're inside the scenic area, no outside food delivery is allowed, so all meals are eaten within the resort. Whether it's the hotel's dinner or breakfast, the taste is just okay. There's a small convenience store with daily necessities (prices are a bit high). I'm currently waiting for my flight at the airport and finally have time to write this review! My family all said the airport lounge food was the best they'd had in the past two days, haha.

The kids loved the room by the pool. We upgraded to a different room type at check-in, paying an extra fee at the front desk. Plus, there's a WeChat assistant for any questions, so you don't have to keep running to the front desk. The kids really enjoyed the zoo, the circus, and the outdoor pool. This is our second time staying here!

The hotel itself is a miniature ecological paradise, with new sights at every turn and surprises hidden everywhere. The rooms are playfully designed, with meticulous details that rekindle a childlike wonder even in adults. The dining experience was exceptional, from the lavish breakfast buffet to the thoughtful late-night snacks, everything satisfied our discerning palates. What truly moved us was the service from Jiang Ying. Her smile was as gentle as a warm spring sun. She not only thoughtfully planned routes for us to avoid crowds but also carefully informed us about the next day's weather changes, reminding us to add layers and bring an umbrella. Her attentiveness went beyond mere professionalism; it felt like care from a distant friend. The hotel's family-friendly facilities are excellent, allowing children to let loose, while the heated pool and fitness center provide adults with complete relaxation. The convenient shuttle service made exploring the park effortless. Waving goodbye upon departure, we already made a pact to return, because this place offers not only top-notch amenities but also staff like Jiang Ying, who treat guests like family, making the entire journey shine with human warmth. Additionally, I want to extend a special thank you to the staff at the White Tiger Restaurant. I fainted near the restroom entrance, and the staff were incredibly helpful, responding very promptly. A female staff member with glasses stayed with me until we left the restaurant. The hotel medical staff also arrived quickly, and someone even helped pack porridge for me and lent me a shawl… The next morning when we went for breakfast, several staff members came over to specifically ask if I was feeling better and if I needed any further assistance… Thank you all!

The room was cleaned immaculately every day, and sanitized upon entry, so hygiene was never a concern. The butler service truly deserves a special mention; I couldn't be happier. They answered every question, responded to every request, and provided helpful reminders for my daily itinerary. It was a perfect experience, hands down. All the facilities worked perfectly, and the air conditioning was excellent.
