The landmark of Yunju Temple is the ancient pagoda from the Liao Dynasty, which is also an extremely rare composite brick pagoda in China. The pagoda body combines three forms: octagonal pavilion style, stupa style, and Vajra throne style. The four corners of the pagoda are surrounded by four small stone pagodas from the Tang Dynasty, making the one main and four auxiliary layout unique.

Yunju Temple is located in Shuitou Village, Dashiwo Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, 70 kilometers from the city center. Yunju Temple, Shijing Mountain Scripture Cave and Tang and Liao Pagoda Group constitute a treasure house of Chinese Buddhist culture. Yunju Temple was built in the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty. It was originally named "Zhiquan Temple" and later renamed "Yunju Temple". The temple covers an area of 0.07 square kilometers. It was destroyed by Japanese artillery fire in the 1940s and underwent two large-scale restorations after liberation.
