Dianchi Garden Resort Hotel & Spa

The hotel environment is fantastic; it's a must-stay when you're in Kunming. The front desk staff are as warm and attentive as ever. Knowing I have trouble sleeping, they thoughtfully picked a quiet room for me. Perhaps because it's the off-season, there weren't many guests, and the breakfast variety was less than before.

The hotel's ambiance is truly wonderful; it's a delight to admire the cherry blossoms right from the balcony or your room. The room seems newly renovated, with great water pressure and quick hot water. The minibar was complimentary, and they even provided both cool slippers and cotton slippers. Areas for improvement: 1. The disposable toilet seat cover didn't fit the toilet. 2. The laser TV screen in the room wouldn't go up. Someone came to fix it in the evening but wasn't successful. I suggest checking this in advance next time.

4 days and 3 nights. Facilities: Mature, traditional, with good greenery. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: A true hot spring garden. Service: Meticulous, but standard. What needs to be emphasized is the need to strengthen emergency assistance training for special circumstances, especially for sudden illnesses suffered by guests. Staff should be enthusiastic and proactive, not cold and unresponsive when guests request urgent help. The male manager at Runyu Restaurant on the first floor on the evening of the 21st performed quite poorly. What deserves praise is the enthusiastic and thoughtful lobby manager on the 22nd, and the reception center staff member (I didn't catch her name, she was petite and delicate) who proactively apologized and even gave us 3 New Year gifts, which felt auspicious and warm. This somewhat made up for the disappointment of the 21st. Thumbs up to both of them!

The location is fantastic, right by Dianchi Lake. It's super convenient to watch the sunrise in the morning, and the cable car is less than a 30-minute walk away. The hotel also has its own lake, and directly opposite is the Yunnan Nationalities Village, so you can relax comfortably even without leaving the hotel. There are even little squirrels by the lake!

The view from the room's balcony was fantastic, and the hotel grounds were lovely. The hotel restaurant served pretty good food. Every morning, there were seagulls in the lake and squirrels in the trees. It's very close to Haigeng Park, so you can see the seagulls daily, and it's also near Yunnan Nationalities Village, which is great for evening strolls with a nice atmosphere.

The room facilities are very complete, and the hygiene is also very clean. The service is excellent, and personal issues are responded to and resolved promptly. Especially the environment here, it allows people to relax and offers a great experience.

Right by Dianchi Lake, the hotel has its own park with a small lake where you can spot seagulls. The environment is absolutely fantastic. It's just a short walk to Haigeng Park. The breakfast spread is generous, and ordering takeout is super convenient. If you're bringing elderly family members, they'll definitely love a vacation here. The shower water in the rooms is even mineral water! The only minor drawback is that the showerhead is a bit old-fashioned.

First time in Kunming, and this hotel was excellent! The service was incredibly thoughtful and patient. They helped us change rooms three times due to personal reasons, which we really appreciated. They even offered complimentary breakfast for the kids! The hotel environment is beautiful, and its proximity to Dian Lake is super convenient. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

The hotel boasts an excellent location right at the entrance of Haigang Park. Just about 100 meters from the hotel, there's a shuttle bus for the Xishan cable car. The rooms are spacious and come with a balcony. The smart toilet is a real highlight, and the hot spring water for showering is a luxurious touch. Plus, bottled water is complimentary. The breakfast offers a good variety of both Chinese and Western options. From the backyard, you can see Yunnan Nationalities Village across the lake. This season, there are flocks of seagulls in the lake; as long as you have bread, you'll always be the center of attention, without needing to go to the crowded Dianchi Lake. The staff are very welcoming and the free parking lot is quite large.
