Before going, I thought the best experience would obviously be standing at the big viewpoints, surrounded by endless green grass and mountains. And yes, those views were beautiful. But after a while, I started feeling like I was jumping from one photo spot to another. Get off, take pictures, look around, get back on, repeat. It was beautiful, but somehow it felt a little rushed. Then I noticed something. Some of my favorite views were actually the ones I almost ignored because they weren’t marked as a “must-see” spot. A stretch of grass beside the road. A few horses in the distance. Clouds moving slowly over the mountains. The wind hitting my face while I was doing absolutely nothing. Those moments felt much more like the Nalati I had imagined before coming. I think that’s why the famous viewpoints felt slightly overrated to me—not because they weren’t beautiful, but because I expected them to be the best part of the trip. They weren’t.
