For this trip, I chose an eSIM because it was so convenient! No need to change SIM cards, no need to carry a pocket WiFi, and I could use the internet as soon as I landed. ๐ฑโจ
๐ถ The overall signal was excellent. I could comfortably use Google Maps, Google Translate, check train routes, book restaurants/attractions, and use social media.

I used it from Tokyo โ Kamakura โ Osaka โ Kyoto, and it even worked while I was on the Shinkansen.
โก๏ธ The overall speed was okay. There were some moments when the signal slowed down a bit in the subway or crowded areas, but it didn't cause any problems with my travels.
