This hotel is convenient to drive by car, parking is free, the room is on the ground floor, you have to carry your luggage, but it is okay, breakfast is simple, but it is also good, if you have a rest stop, you can still consider this hotel
The administrator was very nice. He immediately changed our room as soon as he found out that the main lighting in our room wasn't working. Instead of a room with an unappealing view, he gave us one overlooking a beautiful church. We were pleased. The hot water was indeed hot. However, there was no hairdryer, and water dripped from the pipe under the sink, so we had to place a trash can underneath it.
The room was quite spacious. There were enough power outlets, and while there wasn't a traditional wardrobe, there were plenty of hangers. The towels and bed linen smelled pleasant, and the bed was comfortable.
Attractions were a leisurely 15-minute walk away.
We only stayed for one night, but overall, I could easily have stayed there for several days. Of course, that's not possible in every hotel.
The room is very good, suitable for family travel. The environment is beautiful and there is a dam that has become a natural waterfall. The service is very good, responsible and very kind. It is very convenient for self-driving tours and is very close to Mont Saint Michel.
Accueil parfait .
The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the train station. There are many crepe shops nearby, but since most people stop there to see Mont Saint-Michel, it's recommended to make reservations for popular restaurants in advance.
Getting to Mont Saint-Michel from here requires a bus ride of about twenty minutes. The hotel reception has a bus timetable; just ask the staff.
Because it's an older building, the floors and stairs are carpeted, so guests with mobility issues should be careful. The small courtyard is lovely; you can dine there on a nice day.
The staff are very polite, speak fluent English, and are happy to help.
I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was very clean and overlooks the courtyard. There's nothing particularly outstanding, but it's excellent value for money for a one- or two-night stay.
Strategic location if you want to visit the D-Day beaches! Impeccable hotel with helpful and pleasant staff. We booked a room. Pleasant surprise, we got an apartment! One room serving as a kitchen and living room plus a bedroom and a large bathroom. We booked for one night and extended our stay for a second night. Very good and generous breakfast served downstairs from our building. Parking is expensive for one night (9€) but you can park for free at the port, which we did. A small gate leads you to the residence (barely a 2-minute walk) and also allows you to get to the city. I highly recommend this hotel!
We had a lovely weekend, the room was very clean, the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice, and the staff were very welcoming. As for the spa, the pool was a little underheated and we couldn't use the sauna due to a minor technical issue, but I still recommend this hotel ☺️
Great location! Just step outside, and there's a McDonald's right across the street. The hotel is also opposite a beautifully converted warehouse shopping center. The rooms are very clean, but one thing to note is that housekeeping is only done every five days instead of daily. Overall, a great choice for a stay in Le Havre!

If you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley. Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!! We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us. Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady. Just go. Dont hesitate.
Just spent a night at the ibis Alençon right in the town centre on Place Auguste Poulet-Malassis. Perfect location — you can walk everywhere: the beautiful basilica is 4 minutes away, shops, restaurants and the Halle au Blé market square are on your doorstep, and the train station is only a 10-minute stroll. The room was typical ibis: compact but well-designed, with a really comfortable bed that gave me an excellent night’s sleep. Laminate flooring felt cleaner than old carpet, the bathroom was functional with good hot water and powerful shower. Free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful — the night receptionist even went out of her way when we had a minor issue. Breakfast is a highlight: fresh scrambled eggs and sausages cooked to order, decent selection of pastries, fruit and cheese. Good value for the price.
If you’re seeking a comfortable and modern stay near Mont Saint-Michel, the Altos Hotel & Spa in Avranches (often referred to as ‘Atos’ in user queries) stands out for its welcoming environment, wellness amenities, and easy access to local attractions. This hotel is praised for its contemporary design, spacious and bright rooms, and a serene spa area featuring sauna, jacuzzi, and massage services. It’s ideally situated just a short drive from Mont Saint-Michel, offering guests a tranquil base away from the crowds. Warm, attentive service and local restaurant recommendations from staff enhance the experience, while amenities like secure parking, fast Wi-Fi, and a generous breakfast buffet contribute to a relaxing and convenient stay.
I booked two rooms. One room was successfully charged to my credit card, but the other was not. I contacted the hotel to explain that I was only about three hours away and asked them to hold the room so I could pay upon arrival. Unfortunately, my request was refused and one room was canceled. I then had to make a new reservation directly through the hotel’s website, which was quite disappointing. The rooms were not soundproof at all. There is no elevator, and when I asked for assistance, the reception declined immediately without offering any help. Parking is also very limited and requires an additional fee.
Nice location which close to a lot of signature sightseeing places, such as Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen, Historial Jeanne d’Arc, Le Gros Horloge, Opéra de Rouen Haute-Normandie - Théâtre des Arts Opéra Orchestre Normandie Rouen, Église Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc de Rouen, etc. Accommodating with kitchen and microwave which absolutely good for those family who like to have their own seafood party, you can easily buy your own seafood from Poissonnerie Villard - Le Littoral, or Poissonnerie Saint-Marc, etc. Staffs are kind and friendly, the aparthotel provides replacement of garbage bags and toilet papers, just asked at their reception desk. It definitely a good and memorable stay in Rouen.
The location is everything, right in front of the beach. Love the theme of Jules Vernes (name of hotel) and Arsène Lupin which resonated in the rooms. Both of whom had strong associations with Étretat. The building has a very iconic façade. We had a village-facing room as the sea-facing ones were not available during booking but it had also a pretty decent view. Coffee provided at the hallway at one's disposal. Tea in the room. No AC, so very warm and stuffy at night, could hardly sleep. Wouldn't recommend opening the windows cos of mozzies. Breakfast spread was generous and delicious. Huge croissants! Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We only stayed 1 night at Hotel Paulette as we were driving through Rouen as a part of our road trip. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is walking distance from the Notre Dame Rouen Cathedral, Le Gros Horloge and the site where Joan of Arc was burned. The hotel room was clean and had the necessary amenities such as free wifi, toiletries, hair dryer. While there is no cupboard, there is a suitcase stand where there are hangers you can hand up your coat and clothes. Just note that the bathroom is small. It did not bother us since it is a standard for most European hotels.
