Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Wildlifes at their best, Ngorongoro
after our struggle but worth hiking experience at Kilimanjaro peak, we decided for a safari adventure at The Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is a protected 8292km area and labelled as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. we thought it was a very expansive area where Masaai people and wildlifes live harmonily.
Personally, i like Ngorongoro because we see more animals, faunas and wildlifes here. they are everywhere. we had the best guide Anthony who drove us around this area on jeep.

Arusha Tanzania Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Arusha, Tanzania: The Safari of A Lifetime
Tanzania is a land of nature, culture, and hospitality. The city of Arusha is the heart of Tanzania where you can experience all of those in one place. Arusha is a gateway to world-famous national parks of the country which inspired Lion King and is located in an ideal location for a trip to climb the Mount Kilimanjaro. Its strategic location makes Arusha the starting point of tourists and travelers like me who seek to discover what Tanzania offers. Being home to the infamous Serengeti National Park and many other natural wonders, Tanzania is a perfect place for those who want to have the safari of their lifetime. However, with numerous tour organisations and hundreds of tour packages, it is difficult for travelers to find the right tour operator and the program that will provide them with the personalised and structured but flexible tour experience they are looking for. Whether you are travelling on a budget or want to have a luxurious safari adventure, it is important to find an operator who has plenty of experience and a wide network to provide you what you exactly look for and inform and advise you from the beginning to the end. Nobody would want the safari adventure of their dream to turn into a disappointment or even a nightmare. As someone who dreamed of it for years, I was quite stressed that the experience might not meet my expectations at the end of the day. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to meet Martha, my host and the tour organiser who took care of everything for me. Kilitanzania Pride Tours is a local tour agency based in Arusha and run by the young family of Martha and Daniel. What makes them different is they do not make you choose from a list of standard tour packages but they arrange one that fits your expectations and budget. They even welcome you in their house as a guest and ensure that the trip is going as it is planned. Thanks to them I have had the safari of my dreams without any hassle. I rode through the vast plains of Serengeti watching wildlife, spent nights in a tent in the middle of wilderness, ate freshly-cooked local meals, witnessed the family gathering of an elephant family in Tarangire and watched sunrise in the Ngorongoro crater together with zebras, flamingos, and elephants. My adventure did not end with the safari though. I also had the chance to spend some time with Martha as a guest in her house located in a small village of Arusha called Shangarai. During my stay, I learned more about Tanzanian culture and language from Martha and had the opportunity to experience the daily life of locals myself. As my stay in Arusha comes to an end, all I can say is if you are looking for a unique cultural experience crowned with an amazing safari adventure, go find Martha in Arusha. She will make sure that you had a wonderful safari adventure tailored to your budget and priorities!

Mount Meru Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Tanzania Hotel Guide Part One: Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha
🏨 Mount Meru Hotel
When traveling in Tanzania, apart from the eagerly anticipated East African savannah Safari, the most important aspect for me is the hotel. The comfort of the hotel directly determines the overall experience of the trip, so all the hotels during the 12-day journey were carefully selected. Each one, like the Stone House in Serengeti and the Four Seasons, has its own unique characteristics.
Arusha serves as a brief rest and transit point for watching animal migrations, and a local friend recommended the Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha, which fits well with the overall itinerary.
This was also the most ordinary hotel of the trip. When looking at pictures, I even compared it to domestic budget hotels like Home Inn, but the actual stay completely overturned my 'prejudice'.
🏨 Hotel Environment:
The outside of the hotel is very ordinary, but the inside is very nice, with a large garden and a decent swimming pool. I heard there is also a golf course, but I was too tired from the flight to explore in detail.
The security at the hotel entrance is very responsible, with vehicle undercarriage checks arranged, and the entry and exit checks are very thorough.
🛏️ Rooms:
The rooms are clean and tidy, just the mattress is a bit hard, but the view outside the window is very good.
🍽 Dining Recommendations:
The hotel's breakfast and Western food are both very good. The roast pork chops and pizza taste very authentic, especially the pork chops. The salads, fries, shrimp, and fish are not amazing, but they are of a standard quality. The breakfast is quite rich, especially the fruits are very fresh, and the breakfast waiters are more enthusiastic. In the evening, there is also a small bar where you can have a drink to relieve the fatigue of the flight.
🚉 Transportation Tips:
It's about a 1.5-hour drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport.
It's 11.1 kilometers from Arusha Airport.
💰 Tips: Tanzania is also a tipping country, so exchange some small change when checking in or at the airport.
For carrying luggage or room service, 1 USD is enough, and for restaurant tips, it starts at 1 USD depending on the service, and you can give more if the service is good.
💰 Average Cost:
Hotel expenses: 1800 RMB
📝 Note tips:
Check-in time: after 14:00, check-out time 11:00
Shampoo and shower gel are provided, but you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.
There are small local shops nearby, be careful about safety when going out at night.
Best experience with the best hotels!
