St Georges Anglical The cathedral is beautiful, there are many carved in marble, especially the bishop's chair cathedra. It is heartbreaking to see those who died in colonial times, especially on the monuments of children who died of disease. Nice to see benches with marks, rifles placed for soldiers. Beautiful altar in white marble.

Two visits. Warm welcome. Charming building. Inside it seems to be a small piece of St Paul's Cathedral outside the Roman wall. Please note the holes on the bench for soldiers to stand! The building is usually kept locked, but paramedics are happy to open it for you. Very atmospheric holy place.
St. George's Cathedral is an example of Christianity that settled in India during colonial times, designed and built in 1828 in a typical British Gothic style, well preserved for years, with a variety of commemorations inside, and went to church at 9am on Sundays.
St. George's Cathedral is a beautiful church built during British rule, kept quiet and clean. Usually the gate is locked and the interior is a memorial to different officers and other soldiers who died in war or otherwise while serving in India.
The whole is a white church, the building is very distinctive and beautiful. The neighborhood is very quiet, and it is good to sit here without anything.
