In September 2018, the Chinese Museum Association decided to agree that the Xiangyang Museum is a national second-level museum. The museum is located at No. 339 Qinghe East Road, Xiangzhou District, Xiangyang City, Anhui Province, covering an area of 10,000 square meters, and the main building has a construction area of more than 3,000 square meters, and the average annual audience of more than 100,000 visitors. As of 2018, the Liyang Museum has collected 10,000 pieces, 2,580 sets of precious cultural relics, of which 47 sets of national-level cultural relics, 230 sets of second-level cultural relics, and 2303 sets of third-level cultural relics. The main characteristics of the collection are mainly local historical relics, and the categories are relatively complete. It can be divided into more than a dozen categories such as paleontological fossils, bronzeware, ceramics, bamboo, jade, calligraphy and painting.
