A small statue in a small shrine next to the road. There's an explanation but only in Japanese. Worth looking at if passing by.

Hengjiupinghe の May い
This is located on the city hall side in front of the major building of NTT West Fukui Branch. Since 1995 is the milestone of the 50th anniversary of the war, he built Kannon-do in hopes of permanent peace.
Kannondo hall, which is where the victims of the air raid are mourned.
A Kannon statue was created after 19 years to mourn the victims of the Fukui air raid on the night of July 19, 2008. Although there was a subsequent relocation, it seems that it was re-shaped as Kannon-do in 1995.
