A stone monument commemorating the later emperor Taisho's visit to Motomachi school building of Hakodate commercial school in 1844
Original Text
An old stone monument stood on the edge of the road just south of Goryokaku Tower. That is the "Prince of the Crown Prince Yukikai Monument". After reading the explanation, the crown prince here is later Emperor Taisho. It is a stone monument commemorating the fact that the Crown Prince was enlightened to the Motomachi School Building of Hakodate Commercial School in 1884.
I stood in an open space in front of Goryokaku Tower. There was an explanation board adjacent to it, and I found out the origin of the monument. However, the monument of Hakosho 々 did not have any tourists stop and visit, and they were sucked into the tower.
A monument related to the former Hakodate Commerce. Later, when Emperor Taisho came to the imperial prince and the school building was in Motomachi, a monument left to commemorate the visit to classes came here with the relocation of the school's Goryokaku. However, Hakosho moved further about 50 years ago. This monument was left with the monument in the location of the old school building.
I saw it across the road from Goryokaku Tower, just outside the parking lot of Goryokaku. I didn't see it properly, so I wondered when it was the crown prince.
