It overlaps with the word of "Hirgi forest in Keisaji Bay". . .

    Original Text

Located in the eastern village of the northern part of the main island of Okinawa. An ordinary river with an extension of the channel 3.5km and a watershed area 7.27km2 that flows into Okiyumei Bay. The lower reaches have the second largest mangrove community on the main island of Okinawa. "Hirgi Forest in Keisaji Bay" is a national natural monument. However, the Keisaji River currently has a 々 problem. Due to the large-scale farmland development started after 1955, and the outflow of red soil sewage due to the improvement of surrounding farmland and livestock houses after the return of the mainland, sediment pile ...

    Mangrove community

    Original Text

Located along the national highway in the Yanbaru area, there is a free parking lot, so it is easy to access. We recommend that you visit when you pass by. There is a mangrove community just upstream of the national highway, and there is a walking path without taking a kayaking tour, so you can observe it from land. The sea side downstream of the national highway is a tidal flat and there are no protected mangroves, so some people are fishing and it has a peaceful atmosphere.

It's a river with a large community of mangroves.

The Keisaji River, which runs into Higashimura in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, is known for having a large community of mangroves near the mouth of the river. Near the mouth of the river, there was Higashimura Fureai Hirugi Park, from which a promenade stretched through the mangrove (Hirugi forest). I was able to observe the roots of the cypress, which branched like octopus legs (?) From the immediate vicinity. It seems that you can also take a canoe to observe the mangroves from the park.

It's one of the largest mangroves on the main island.

We stayed at Okuma Private Beach & Resort and drove around the northern part of the main island on this day. At the beginning of departing from Okuma, I headed for the Keisaji River, where the mangrove forest spreads. The Keisaji River flows through the northern part of Okinawa Prefecture, where lush subtropical forests spread, and flows toward the east coast. The mangrove community near the estuary is said to be one of the largest on the main island of Okinawa. When we visited, a large group of high school students will be ...
