    Beautiful temple

A nice temple with a good view. The location is very close to Saijo station. There is no admission fee needed to enter this temple

    A great place to unwind!

10 minutes from my apartment, this temple slowly winds up the hill with multiple outbuildings and parks. I've taken several guests there and they love it! Catch it in August for Bon Odori!

The roof of the mountain gate and the main hall is red tiles like SAIJO

    Original Text

Immediately from the north exit of SAIJO Station. A temple of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji school, which was founded as Komyobo during the Astronomical Year (1532 ~ 1555). The principal image is Amida Nyorai. Red tiles that are typical of SAIJO are used in both the mountain gate and the main hall. There is a monument to the fall of the main hall built in 1905 in the precinct, so the current main hall may have been built at this time.
