I arrived at Kodairagata Tenmangu by bicycle. I was preparing for the triathlon the next day. Located in the pine forest on Tenjinhama, on the north bank of Lake Inawashiro, it is counted as one of Japan's three major Tenmangu shrines. Kanezai Inawashiro, who is said to have been born in prayer for this Tenmangu shrine, is said to have left his footprints as a master of renga at the end of Muromachi, and created the basis of the current Waka.
