#16 of Best Things to Do in New York

MaxS
The history of the memorial began in 2003, when the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation announced a competition for the best monument design. No sane person doubted that a memorial was necessary, but it was also clear that a truly unique project was needed. As a result, in 2004, the project "Reflection of Absence" was announced as the winner of the competition, authored by American-Israeli architect Michael Arad from Handel Architects. Landscape designer Peter Walker helped him create the project. The project provided for the creation of two pools with the largest artificial waterfalls in the United States, which would cascade from the edges of the pools located exactly in the places where the skyscrapers stood. The area of each pool is 4 thousand square meters. meters, and both of them symbolize the human tragedy and the emptiness that remained after the terrorist attacks. As for the surrounding landscape created by Walker, it includes 4 hundred eucalyptus trees and white oaks planted on the territory of Memorial Plaza.

极地漫步
In addition to the special number of people, the scenery, playability, entertainment and other aspects are still possible, especially watching the Xinwaxing Lion performance, there are too many serious things, and then encounter some unqualified ones that will block you dead, nothing can be seen, the organizational and coordination ability of the scenic spot needs to be improved, You can't just collect tickets and let people come in and visit, which exceeds the normal reception ability and will only make tourists disgusted.

Came here in the late afternoon so it was cooler but the sky was just beautiful with such a large landscape of garden plots and sight of memorial hall. The contrast of white building against the blue sky was perfect for photography. Watch the flag lowering at CKS.

The building is very majestic and solemn. When I go, it is raining, the air is fresh, the garden is quiet and leisurely, a large green lawn, and the bronze statue of Mr. Zhongshan. There are also ancient trees such as kapok king in the garden, which is very good. I listened to an explanation unexpectedly, the commentator was very good, and learned a lot about Mr. Zhongshan's history, which made my trip very fulfilling.

My journey to Fo Guang Shan in Taiwan with my dad was truly a heartwarming and unforgettable experience. As we approached the temple complex, the air was filled with a sense of serenity and tranquility. The stunning architecture and meticulously landscaped gardens created a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling world.Exploring the temple with my dad by my side made it even more special. We marveled at the intricate details of the buildings and statues, and as we lit incense and offered our prayers, it felt like a moment of profound connection with each other and the spiritual world. As we left Fo Guang Shan, my heart was filled with gratitude for this precious time spent with my dad in such a beautiful and meaningful place. It's a memory I'll cherish forever, a journey of spiritual exploration and a bonding experience that brought us closer together🙏🏻❤️

乐逍遥@2007
The first time I came to Chongqing, I still chose the local red trip to receive education and baptism. Understanding the past that is unbearable is also remembered in my heart. Cherish the life I have now. There are so many people on holidays, and they are all crowded at a rhythm.

Chairman Mao Memorial Hall is located on the central axis of Tiananmen Square, which is located at No. 11 Qianmen East Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing. The south of the People's Heroes Memorial Hall is Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, solemn.

As the United States joined the global struggle against Axis powers, the flagwas everywhere: spurring war bonddrives, workers in plants, gracing the bows of merchant ships and, certainly, rousing the spirits of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines as they faced the gravest sacrifices. The flag's message-love of country, liberty always-resonates still. It is ever-present in the mission of this Museum.

From steam locomotives to the current magnetic injury trains and the history of Japanese high-speed trains can be seen at once. Most of the train rooms are also open, so railway enthusiasts or children will especially like it.
