Joetsu City Cultural Heritage Center

Interesting exposition, lots of interactive material. You can look at the work of archaeologists, communicate with friendly ninjas and samurai. Then climb up the mountain
I went there for the first time as part of a tour of Japan's Top 100 Castles. If I thought it was an office excavating the ruins, I was exhibiting Kasugayama Castle. There was a magnificent exhibition about Kenshin Uesugi, and it was easy to understand with chronological tables and illustrations. Moreover, it's amazing that admission is free.
Joetsu City Buried Cultural Property Center (Niigata City, Joetsu city)

It is a center at the foot of Mt. Kasuga. There is a busho here who will entertain you. I think you can enjoy it if you can clear the unique atmosphere. There are various materials so you can enjoy learning. The busho was interesting.
I stopped by on the way to Takada's 100 Mankanzakurakai. It is a buried cultural property center in Joetsu City. I stopped by because it was on the way to Kasugayama Shrine. There is a statue of Kenshin Uesugi at the entrance, and there are cherry blossoms next to it, making it a good view point. Parking is free.
