Free People's Movement の One つの Out of the Point
Original Text
It is the home of a political association created by Taisuke Itagaki and others aiming for freedom and human rights. I was deeply moved that associations were formed nationwide from here and Japan began to move. On the other hand, I was grieved by the recent neglect of the constitution and the low voter turnout as usual.
There is a stone monument in a small park on the west side of Kochi Daimaru Department Store. It is the base of the Freedom and People's Rights Movement centered on the Isao Itagaki of the Meiji Restoration.
It is located slightly east of Kochi City Central Park. Taisuke Itagaki, who went down to the field with Takamori Saigo and others in the Seihan Ron, founded Rishisha to carry out a movement to change tyranny with the power of speech and developed the Freedom and People's Rights Movement. The letters on the stone monument also showed a strong feeling for freedom.
It is a monument to the site of Rishisha in Kochi City Central Park. The stone monument, which says "Freedom comes out of the mountains of Tosa," had an impact and stopped. Rishisha was a political association established in Tosa, and it is said that it was founded mainly in Taisuke Itagaki as the core of the Japan Freedom and People's Rights Movement.
The place where Rishisha was located is now Kochi City Central Park, but it was based on the site of the old town hall in Obiya Town. The discussions for the relief of warrior classes were the pioneers of the political talks, including freely discussing important political, social and economic topics. Kenkichi Kataoka was appointed president of Rishisha, and it is said that the number of employees reached 1,000.After the establishment of Rishisha, associations have been established in each region.
