Phuntsolin Monastery is located in Phuntsolin Township, Shigatse Lazi County, with an altitude of 4,100 meters. It was built by Doronata in 1615 AD. The monastery originally believed in the Juelang sect, and when the fifth Ngawang Luosang Gyatso was in power, the monastery was one of the 13 temples that changed religions, so it believed in the Gelug sect. The monastery once had 35 halls and a chanting hall, 3,300 monks, and built 94 bedrooms at the top of the temple with a 9-story tower of Dayera. There are a large number of precious old frescoes and gold-plated bronze Buddha statues preserved in the temple, such as Shengwei King Kong, Kalachakra, Shengle King Kong and so on. There are four treasures in Phuntsokolin Monastery: one is the walking stick of Tubuwa Xirao Gyaltsen, about 1 meter long; the other is the walking stick of Dayela Pagoda, which is said to be a gift from the Mongolians. The walking stick is carved with Mongolian and Tibetan characters. Wen, dragon, etc., about 1.2 meters long; the third is the cymbal of Doronata, which is said to be able to liberate from the sea of suffering; the fourth is a pair of gems, one shaped like an egg, white, with a naturally formed incantation and The Yongzhong pattern, the other one shaped like an almond, has a white line on it. Every year on December 27 of the Tibetan calendar, the temple holds the God Dance Festival, and on October 8 of the Tibetan calendar, a ceremony to worship Tara is held.
