The Two Towers, "Le due torri", both of them leaning, are the symbol of Bologna, and probably the most prominent one. Until 1919, there were actually 5 towers in this square. Bologna was always known as the city of towers, “La Turrita”, as over the centuries, particularly between the 12th and the 13th century, the city had possibly over 200 towers.Almost all them were tall (the highest being 97 m), defensive stone towers. There are now 25 towers left without counting the hundreds of bell towers in the city. The taller one of the pair is called the Asinelli while the smaller but more leaning tower is called the Garisenda. Their names derive from the families which are traditionally credited with constructing them between 1109 and 1119.The Asinelli Tower was used by the scientists Giovanni Battista Riccioli (in 1640) and Giovanni BattistaGuglielmini (in the following century) for experiments to study the motion of heavy bodies and the earth rotation. Bologna’s towers were cited several times by Dante in the Divine Comedy and The Rhymes (a confirmation of his stay in Bologna), and by Goethe in his Italian Journey. The Two Towers have also been the subject of an eponymous poem by Giosuè Carducci as part of the Barbarian Odes. Charles Dickens wrote about the towers in his Pictures from Italy. In World War II, between 1943 and 1945, it was used as a sight post: during bombing attacks, four volunteers took post at the top to direct rescue operations to places hit by Allied bombs.Later, a RAI television relay was installed on top.Architect Minor Yamasaki is thought to have been inspired by the Towers when designing the World Trade Center during the 1960s.

The Cathedral of the Virgin Mary is really well-deserved and magnificent. We queued for a long time to enter. There were a lot of people when we entered, but it was really worth visiting. You can see the scenery of the entire Florence city from a high distance.

If you are keen to learn and appreciate artwork, would definitely recommend; if you are not, it might be a bit boring. Before going to the Uffizi Gallery, I would recommend you to study some basic historical and cultural background of Italy and Florence so that you can have a better understanding and visual experience in the gallery. Enjoy!

This is a very interesting gallery with many fantastic pieces but a relatively small gallery compared to the Uffizi. Most people go to see David, which is magnificent. You can probably walk around the whole gallery in a couple of hours unless you are into great detail.

The 14-day trip to Italy has ended, but the beauty of Positano, Tuscany, Cinque Terre, Venice and other places is still vivid; the magnificent and magnificent Vatican of Rome and the high classical elegance of Florence are still vivid. The success and smoothness of this trip is inseparable from the thoughtful and reasonable arrangement of the leader of Feng Ge. Every time Feng Ge comes to a place, in addition to professional explanations, or recommend food and beauty, or remind safety matters, etc. In short, it is all-in-all and very intimate. Thank you to Feng Ge! And like the leader of Feng Ge! [strong][strong][strong]

St. Mark’s Square is one of the iconic plazas in Venice, situated right next to St. Mark’s Basilica and surrounded by magnificent architecture. The view of this place is tremendous and exceptionally beautiful, especially at sunset. It’s definitely a worthy experience.

A baroque stone bridge, one end of which connects the tall magnificent town hall, and the other end is the dark prison, four hundred years ago a death row prisoner was escorted to prison on the way through the bridge, the jailer let him see the free world outside, Through the small window of the death remembered his deeply loved woman, involuntarily sighing, when the death row prisoner looked down at the narrow sea below a pair of men and women kissing on the boat, the woman is the prisoner's lover, the prisoner can not bear to betray, roaring into the stone bridge window with hatred, But the woman did not hear the sigh of the crime, so the stone bridge with nobleness and lowness, life and love, was named for the sigh of the prisoner.

The Doge's Palace, or Palazzo Ducale, in Italy in the city of Venice on St. Mark's Square is an amazing structure. The residence of the rulers, the parliament building, the place of secret affairs of the Inquisition and the imprisonment of criminals. The structure surprises with chiseled colonnades, Gothic arches, crenellated walls and looks exquisite and sophisticated in a city on the water. How did it all began? The construction of the residence of the head of the Venetian Republic (Doge) began in 810. The first palace building looked like a harsh castle surrounded by water, with observation towers and defensive moats. The Doge's Palace was built and decorated for six centuries, changing during this time. With the development and strengthening of the republic, the fortress towers and walls were demolished, filling up the moats. The residence was on fire twice, and each time the building was restored. The palace was revived for the third time in 1419, turning into an exquisite building full of luxury. Building has a special look. Masters Pietro Bazeio and Filippo Calendario created the palace in an elegant Gothic style with Byzantine splendor, combining various architectural trends. When looking at the eclectic architecture, at first it seems illogical that the massive part stands on light openwork arches: the palace resembles an overturned ship.

Great views of the city and the hills in the distance. There are quite a few steep slopes on the way up the mountain, so be prepared or take the hop on hop off bus. The big square at the top has stalls selling tourist gifts and some cafes. Public toilets are available but you need to pay. There are benches along the path leading to the chapel where you can sit. While we were there, most of the morning tours dispersed around lunchtime. If you go to watch the sunset at night and plan to walk back in the dark, dressed in bright clothes, as you may be walking along the road, you may feel more confident with a small flashlight.

Mainly to see Raphael's works are very good museums, the flow of people is not so big, mainly Renaissance Raphael, late Titian, Rubens. There is a layer of modern art on the top, which is actually the paintings of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with war, revolution, farmers, style as the theme. There is an early impressionist shadow. It is worth going! recommend!
