This museum is located in Palacio Canton, one of the beautiful mansions along Paseo de Montejo avenue. I arrived there almost 1 h before they closed and they told me that I could enter without paying....
Worth the 90 peso entry to see the interior of this beautiful mansion. The archeological artifacts are well displayed however everything was in Spanish so we had no explanation of what we were looking...

Very pleasant use of a converted town house. There wasn't a great deal of artefacts on display, but it provided interesting context to the Mayan sites around Merida
