Kannon-ji is a small temple near Shoryuji Castle. It is said that it is an old temple, but there is nothing special to see. If you don’t pay attention, you might overlook the entrance.
There is a modern gate between general houses. The temple was like an old-fashioned house. Kyoto Rakusai 13th Temple This temple is just a stone's throw from Shoryuji Castle Ruins Park.
It is a temple of the Jodo sect located about a 6-minute walk from JR Nagaokakyo Station. I worshiped on the way from Shoryuji Castle Park to Kamizushi Shrine. This temple was founded by a snowy mountain in 1570 during the Muromachi period and was rebuilt during the Horeki era (1751 ~ 1763) during the Edo period. It is the 13th temple of the Kannon Sacred Ground in Rakusai, Kyoto. The eleven-faced Kannon sitting statue of the principal image was built to mourn Emperor Go-Daigo's Bodhisattva. It is a temple related to Emperor Go-Daigo.
