First, a tour bus takes you up the mountain and you stop at several scenic spots. You get chances to snap some pictures before moving on. After about 40 minutes you are dropped off near the summit and have the chance to follow one of about a dozen different routes. Each one leads you to different attractions and special spots on the mountain. In the winter it's very popular because Icicles form at the very top of the mountain when the weather conditions are perfect. The location is at Bianzhuang, Dafeng Town, Daming Mountain, Shanglin County. We drove from Nanning, and the journey took about 1.30h on the highway. However, the road becomes quite challenging when preparing to enter the mountain villa, with steep slopes that even experienced drivers need to navigate carefully. Once past the meeting point, the road improves, and there are many attractions along the way, such as Jinsui Tan and Qiaotou Tan, which charge an entrance fee of 10 RMB for adults while children enter for free. We continued deeper into the mountain villa to Bianzhuang, Dafeng Town, where there are fewer people, no admission fee, and only a parking fee is required. Weekends might be busier, so it's recommended to go early to secure a cool spot by the water.
