Blustery and cold

Well worth a drive out to. Only a short distance from Nemuro. Great crashing waves and walkways amongst the cliffs. The wheel rock formations there are very unusual.

It is maintained as a car stone garden, and while looking at the Hanasaki Lighthouse, I was able to see Nemuro car stone, a nationally designated natural monument. The promenade was maintained and it was possible to reach the rocky area at the tip of the cape. However, the tip of the cape seemed dangerous on a bad day.

I visited to see the car stone. You can go down the stairs from the parking lot to the vicinity of the coast. The car stones are also interesting, but the view of the coast was also beautiful.
