Watching Asahi River
On the way to Okayama Castle or Kōraku-en, you probably pass through this pleasant park. Actually it is not very big. But taking a rest by watching Asahi River is very nice.
I think you will pass by aiming for Okayama Castle from the Okaden tram stop. It's not a big park, so when I walked toward the castle, I passed by and I came back later. Art objects and stone walls of the castle were exhibited.
It is a park along the Asahikawa River that you can walk from the tram castle tram stop toward Okayama Castle and Korakuen. There was a statue of peace.
From the east exit of Okayama Station, I walked east on the main street where the tram runs. After a while, I arrived at this Ishiyama Park along the Asahikawa River. It was a park with abundant greenery, and Okayama Castle looked very nice over Asahikawa. This area is also the castle town of Okayama Castle. There was a stone wall that seemed to be from the castle, and there was a display board called Karasujo Michi.

A pleasant park allowing walks by the water
Ishiyama park is worth noting for the Heiwa statue, some walking paths, views over the water and to the castle, and shady seating.
