Nishina Shinmei Jingu
I found this to be a very interesting place to visit. First it is designated as a National Treasure. Secondly the architectural style predates the Buddhist style of architecture which came from China...
It is an old shrine that enshrines the same Amaterasu Omikami as Ise Jingu. The torii is made using timber from the transfer festival of Ise Jingu. 25 There is also an annual transfer festival, and the event was held two years ago, and the main shrine was rebuilt. It seems that your heart will be washed when you visit in the quiet and dignified air.
Japan's oldest Shinmei zukuri style national treasure shrine
Original Text
It is an old shrine that is thought to have existed in the late Heian period, and the Shinmei-zukuri shrine with Chigi stretched out for a long time is the oldest in Japan. Shinmei Shrine, which is headquartered in Ise's Naiku, is often located throughout Japan, especially in the Chubu region, but I was surprised that it was quietly left behind by avoiding fires and wars in the sunlight of the cedar trees in Shinshu, and I felt a mysterious power. There is something that makes you feel the inner palace somewhere.
One of the few national treasures in Nagano Prefecture is located in Omachi. I visited when I stayed nearby. It is an old historical shrine, and the shrine is designated as a national treasure. Sugibayashi tells the history. It makes me think that there is such a historic shrine in such a place.
Although it is small and welcomed by the magnificent Sanbonsugi, the oldest Shinmei-zukuri, which is a national treasure, is amazing. It's not flashy, but it calms your mind in the clean air. It's a little far from Azumino, but as part of my trip to Azumino, I think it's a good range to drive around.
