What an amazing infrastructure. It was noisy with the amount of water, and it was not full, just amazing

Nice grass sites

Nice grassy camp-site. Good price foe power and water hook up. Go here to chill as not much around. Sun water staff veey approachable and friendly. Plenty of peacocks strutting around.

Interesting enough

It’s a big dam, and you get to drive across the foot of it if there is no water spilling over it. Nice to visit but unless you are fishing or boating there isn’t much to see at all.

Impressive dam and vast water storage

Burdekin Dam is well worth the sealed road drive out from Ravenswood, itself a pleasant and scenic trip. The works township is perched above the dam on the northern side , as is the SunWater caravan ...

Huge lake and great views

We really enjoyed being able to drive right along the bottom of the dam wall, knowing how much water was just above us.
