It is a tangible cultural property designated by the city. It is a two-tone color of dark brown and white, and this white is a good accent of the city by the sea. The Kogecha part is made of fine lattice with thin intervals, and I feel that I have touched the techniques of craftsmen in the Edo period.

A town house built at the end of the Edo period in the preservation district of important traditional buildings in Unomachi. He was engaged in the sake brewing business until the early Taisho Period and was engaged in soy sauce manufacturing and sales until 1945. It is a flat building with beautiful lattice. It seems to be open to the public only one day a month. It is interesting that there is a brick wall from the Taisho era next to it, and a church built in the Taisho era opposite.

It looks like a typical old folk house located almost in the center of the old cityscape of Unomachi. The exterior alone is made fine, and I would like to visit again on a tour day only once a month and receive explanations including the interior.
