Dawanshiju was built in Qingqianlong in 56 years (1791), is one of the largest and most complete square Hakka enclosures in the country, covering an area of 2.5 million square meters, construction area 1.66 million square meters, a total of more than 400 houses. Now it is a key cultural relics in Guangdong Province and a special cultural district in Shenzhen.

Dawanshiju is one of the more large-scale preserved Hakka enclosures in Shenzhen. It is a place where the family of Zeng lived, lived and worked, and retained the historical folk relics and cultural essence of the Hakka family. The architectural style of Dawanshiju reflects the traditional feudal ritual system of the Central Plains and the basic format of the Han and Jin manor-style Wubao, reflecting the historical origin of Dawanshiju.
