It's a stone but has history
Found this stone on a nice long walk. Easy to locate and this stone has lots of history. We had a picnic nearby to break up the walk.
Strathpeffer makes a lovely stop off walk around place
Nice short walk, well signposted from centre of village, with chance to see a bird of prey (red kite, we think) on the way. Try not to tip the stone over, or you might release the floodwater prophec...
Easy to find and well signposted
This is a good example of a Pictish stone from the 7th century. It is very well signposted and easy to find. Look for a signpost opposite the Ben Wyvis hotel in the centre of Strathpeffer. A pleasant ...
A stone from the past
Quite an interesting story, and although the stone has been resited, it is a place worth a visit and only a short walk to reach the site
