The Mount Gu Scenic Area

Gushan is an earlier land in Jingjiang, originally an isolated island on the sea, formed about 70-2.5 million years ago. Gushan is in the same vein as Tianmu Mountain and Huangshan Mountain (Jiangyin). It is the remnant of Tianmu Mountain, and it is also a mountain in the north of Jiangsu Plain to the west of Langshan Mountain in Nantong and south of Yuntai Mountain in Lianyungang. The lonely mountain is like a sitting lion, with a height of 53 meters and a total area of about 5.8 hectares. The ancient trees on the mountain are lush, the trees stand, the jungles are dense, and the whole body is green. Gushan was developed about 1800 years ago. Jingjiang people built Gushan Temple and other buildings on the mountain very early, which became a hot spot for religion. Going up the steps from the mountain road on the southern slope of Gushan, you can see Jianyunfang, Guansheng Temple, Tushen Temple, Shanmen, Sanmao Zhenjun Temple, Xianrentai, Guanyin Temple, Chuimen, Dongyue Palace, Bugu Pavilion, Wangjiang Tower . At the foot of the mountain are the Jingjiang Martyrs Cemetery and Gushan Cultural Square. Every year on the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar, the Gushan Temple Fair is spectacular and famous. Good-hearted men and women flocked to the mountains to incense, and the flow of people was crowded, shoulder to shoulder.
