This entry should be deleted: the river changed course, and the waterfall has not existed since 2020…. The Cascada Magica nearby is great, though.
San Rafael waterfall closed.
Water has been redirected by mother nature. There are threads saying it was a land slide and/or a creator that opened some feet before falls. Either way no more falls.

Sadly, mother nature has closed the waterfall. Last week there was a landslide just upstream that has redirected the water and effectively ended the waterfall.

I am planing to go there and was looking where it was but it is 161 km from Tena maybee it is still the same province Baeza and Nueva Loja. Baeza is about 85km north of Tena.
