Canal trip to Iwase with a live commentary that you won't get tired of
Original Text
Among the multiple courses, board the one-hour course to iwase, where the village of Kitamae shipowner is located. While listening to the history of the canal, a closed section is created using the lock that opens and closes like the Panama Canal that travels by using the difference in water level, and by the ship up and down there, the upstream of the canal next to the Jindori River. Go down to Iwase in Toyama Bay, which has a large difference in height. While listening to the history of the canal, you will not get tired of various live explanations such as explanations of birds such as waterfowl, mechanism of locks, and trade stories of used car motor pools waiting for export. ...
It is a cruise that takes an electric boat utilizing solar power generation between Tomiwa Canal Kansui Park and Iwase, just a short walk from Toyama Station. In the Tomiwa Canal, which is rich in nature, I could see kingfishers and lily seagulls. I also enjoyed the four seasons 々 flower 々, and at the Panama Canal system Nakajima lock, I can experience the maximum water level difference 2.5m "water elevator", and it is a satisfying experience whenever I come.
The course seems to have a 3 course, but I think we tourists like this course? It takes about 70 minutes to round trip, and once you get off at Nakajima Lock and visit the Lock and Nakajima Lock Operation Center. Then return to the departure and arrival point. It seems that there is a 20 minute course for those who don't have time. The capacity of the ship is about 50, and lifeguards are handed over at the time of boarding (type wrapped around the waist). The name of the ship I boarded was "kansui". ... to Nakajima lock
I can't believe you can experience this in Toyama!

I have visited Toyama many times, but I thought it was just a canal pleasure boat, so I never used it. I happened to have time and jumped in on the day with the intention of killing time, but in a good way I was disappointed and it was a very enjoyable boarding. I was able to learn about the origin of the canal and the history of the Jintsu River, the water elevator experience, and the city of Iwase, the end destination, everything was wonderful and I wanted to come again.
Half course for the year-end and New Year holidays, to the water elevator.

I boarded the round-trip course to Nakajima Lock, only during the year-end and New Year holidays. Fortunately, it was reserved for 6 family members, so I wanted to listen to the explanations of my uncles, and both Kogo, Junior and High School were interesting 々. I was lucky that a beautiful kingfisher happened to appear for a moment on the way. The cruise ended on January 3rd, work for two and a half months was closed, and the next will resume in late March. I pray that the corona will converge and this cruise will be full again during the cherry blossom season.
